Agree ABNs nothing wrong with either but the Young one is particularly egregious as he had no option did not hit the other player in the head - so the conclusion is you can bump but not too hard -completely against spirit of Modern game ie head sacrosanct and dangerous acts outlawed

PS the dirtiest act in the whole round was the tunneling by Larkey -very dangerous deliberate and calculated -one week ridiculous -very lucky Young did not get serious injury from this low act

AFL let Cotchin kick someone or attempt to kick someone and gives him a fine Larkey deliberately tunnels and gets only one week yet they pin Young for bumping too hard to the body for a week -ARRANT NONSENSE

Just on the Larkey incident, if it were up to me, I would've sent it directly to the tribunal. Was deliberate and could have caused serious injury. Very very very lucky to get offered 1 week.

Correct….

very Larkey to just get one week…!

kindest regards tommi

 Very good

This is one of the rare occasions that the majority of the media appear to be on our side with Lewis Young decision.
That should help his appeal as we all know the AFL are very reactive to media opinion.

Healy and Brown conceded they would not have a problem if Young gets a week and Wheatly is on the fence

Right here
And in Victoria
On the tribunal system . It’s a joke but that’s the way it is so get used to it. It’s only going to get worse.
Disagreeing with umpires being a no no is also a joke.
It’s an emotional game but not for much longer.

As usual posters getting carried away by the effort.
North were absolutely garbage Saturday night. They seemingly have no system. Reckon Noble will be gone before years out of things don’t improve
North smashed us in the ruck but we smashed them in centre clearences. Their midfield was useless .
Win the centre clearences 22 8 you should win by more than 50 points against arguably the worst team having an off night.
But as usual posters like your good self get half a stiffy over an 8 goal blitz.
We have had the softest draw ever so far bar Freo.
As I said it takes about 10 rounds to see how the season pans out.
Melbourne
Brisbane
Saints
Freo
Swans
Are clearly the five best teams at the minute.
We have played one of them
So let’s all have a Bex calm down and hope and pray Adelaide play as badly as they did last week

My wife has a friend who is only happy when she is miserable. If life turns out really well for her then she gets depressed. When things are shit she’s ecstatic.

Weird.

Carrol will never kick that first goal against any other side
Umpires don't hate us enough

The best thing about Saturday night was Jack Carroll
Should have played last year

I thought the big bodied mids Cripps and Kennedy played a solid physical game vs North despite their ruck dominance to give us first use. Our mids have been very good this year. You don't think so? Its great they keep giving us the edge in their position week in week out.

Our pick 10 in the 2015 draft, Harry was amazing with his hands on a lead.

Carroll was really effective. I'm sure his display wasns't the best thing about Saturday, but was great. See, I value the 4 points, and glad to see a 50 point win from the team. Its not about individuals.

The game was an arm wrestle till half tie. Northg gave their all. Obviously OUR players focussed on ironing out an achilles we had: the 3rd quarter hybernation. 3rd quarter was win for the TEAM. It was a great TEAM performance. TEAM is what its all about.

Docherty was elite.

Don't tell me you were not impressed with saad who found a way tyo get to the ball first even when he was behind his man. That was a miraculous display. Some opposition supporters thought Saad was best on ground....you nothing?

I know you understand footy, and I know you appreciate the stuff I mentioned above, but the TEAM feats don't suit your agenda.

Lets hope we do the same to Crows. There are no easy beats when they try. WCE look to be the team that hs disintegrated. Freo was formidable opposition and with a few adjustments we could beat them. Its still early in the season. We still have a lot to prove. 5-2 is good news regardless of the draw.

We are better this year in the midfield this year. More Depth. Carroll has the physical tools to be a very good midfielder. I can see that.
My issue with Saad is he has played in one position his whole career.
He is very good at what he does but it’s a criticism that’s warranted.
As far as having an agenda I don’t.
I see my view of where we are at as logical.
At this stage of the Voss journey which is 7 games in we need to be whole lot better when the opposition has the pill in space. Lose the clearences and we are in big trouble against mediocre teams like GC.
The key for me is if we do start losing more Voss isn’t sacked like the last 7 coaches.
Saying we must play finals in 2022 because that’s what we expect which is what Sayers said is an out dated statement.
It’s about process and putting the jigsaw together.
The jigsaw is miles off completion.
Patience process and good recruiting wins flags these days

Stupid comment
No idea
It’s being practical and understanding how you get AFL success in 2022
Not 1972
Times change

You are right there, they were. I'm about as up from the win as I was down from the loss to Freo the week before.

Having said that the pleasing thing for me was we had players like Fisher who'd had poor games last week who really responded.

Which is good
Adelaide can play exciting pressure footy
Losing Sloane could be massive
Bu yes Fisher and a few others responded
Young looks ok to me
Carroll made an excellent debut
So yes I am be positive
In saying that and despite Saad playing really well what’s is wrong in saying he could add more strings to his bow by playing wing your as an outside mid particularly with Williams and Docherty in defence

I don't get the comment either.
He's good at what he does and that warrants criticism. Nah, doesn't make sense.

He plays HBF and he's better than most in the land in that position.
I can't see anything wrong with that.

That's one spot we have a player for, next...

Nothing wrong in saying that, but its unwarranted when he's so good at HBF.

Next, Saad doesn't call the positional shots.
You're criticising Saad because Voss chooses to play him in the backline.

Don't you see what is wrong with that statement?

You don't like Saad because he cost us pick 10 and $600K pa. I don't see that as a problem but I get that POV.
You should judge Saad on his output wherever the coach chooses to play him. And that's it!

Don’t know about others but I’m buoyant about the Blues being 5-2 after 7 rounds - we had to win on Saturday night and did by 50 points -North aren’t great but we still had to beat them and other years wouldn’t have won that game
We got 40 K to the ground on Saturday night against North our supporter base are voting with their feet and there is a genuine excitement with our team and where it is going
Dare I say it we should make finals from here -how long has it been
We have now more than one genuinely good player -it’s been a long time
We are far from the finished product and The GC game was an absolute wobble and step back and we will have them

I’m going again on Sunday arvo and expecting/hoping to win
