North have had a couple of big losses this season but they have also pushed the Swans and the Hawks. Statistically, North’s clearance numbers are better than ours this season.

I like to think we’ll get it done too, but Marvel has been a house of pain for us. Pittonet & Hewitt are significant outs and there has to be clouds over Harry & SOJ. I reckon Noble will be telling his players we are very gettable this week. And they will believe it too because of their track record against us.

I agree. I'm expecting Goldy to have a day out against TDK.
We saw the result of an opposition ruck dominating us against GC.

Setterfield is a bust but watch him get a new contract . Cost us two decent picks
O’Brien picked again. Should never been recruited in the first place. Like paying $20 to see a movie you hated over and over again.
Carroll a Monty this week Ah na. He ain’t ready yet.
Newnes is crap but hey let’s give him another game.
Cottrell offer a bit more but let’s drop him instead
No @#$%&! idea

Yes, this post is a joke and you have no idea!

I mean, you are just becoming a parody of yourself now, or you are playing the longest troll game the world has ever seen?

I am genuinely interested in what changes you would have made this week.

JOS for Durdin A tall utility forward/ruck for a small defensive foward
Carroll for Setterfield
Stocker for Newnes Defender for a wing
Dow for Boyd An inside mid for a medium defender
Kennedy forFisher A slow inside mid for a fast mid/half forward
Judging by your avatar you would understand Cripps is The Pointman
My all time fan album and band

C'mon, really Keogh?
All year we have been changing like for like, this is Voss not Teague playing makey ups.

My opinion
I like Durdin but he is young
Newnes is vanilla and 29
Boyd has no footy brain obvious
Fisher is a lazy footballer who needs to work on his defence obvious
Setterfield is having no impact obvious
Good to seeCarroll getting a game even though it’s out of necessity

Yep, when was the last time we had a comfortable win. Even when we beat North it's a scrap.

Setterfield has withdrawn from the squad due to illness.

Kemp and Dow added, so the sub will be one of Kemp, Dow, Cottrell or Plowman.

I have no issue with your assessment on the players because everyone has their own opinion.
I just don't understand why you are totally disregarding structure, roles and players attributes in your changes.
e.g. Dow as a defender. Teague played him as a forward and that didn't work so why would being a defender work?
Especially when he's been playing as an inside mid all year in the VFL.

Interesting stat on channel 7 before the game.
We are 17th on the ladder for players to have played in all 6 rounds this year, with only 10 (9 if Setters is out).
With only West Coast below us with 3.

And I bet the teams with the most players in all games are in the top 4.
Also, the Eagles got smashed by COVID in the first few rounds too.

I tried to take a picture but I was too late.
I think Melbourne were on top and had 18 players to play all 6 rounds, I think.

Freo are 16th with 11 players.

Two top 8 sides in the bottom 4.

After seeing the Eagles game last night, if this doesn't end up being a strong percentage booster its a pretty big missed opportunity.

Thought the same.

Richmond put a shit team to the sword.

Winning against North is simply not enough. We need to smash them.

With our list falling to pieces yet again, I'll be grateful for any win. But North are favourites IMO.... if I was a gambler I'd be all over the current odds.

100% agree. Anything short of a belting is unacceptable.
Hope the players don't share the same defeatist thoughts some posters have.
North are rubbish. We don't thrash them, then so are we. Injuries are not an excuse.

Who’s being defeatist? I’m pointing out facts - NM have beaten us 5 out of the last 6 occasions, by an average of 8 goals. They are statistically better at clearances than us this season and have a major advantage in the ruck. They will see this a winnable game.

“We will win easy because they are shit” doesn’t fly with me.

We may win, we may not, but what it won’t be is easy.

I guess we’ll find out tonight how much we have genuinely improved this year….

Unfortunately, we’re not Richmond. Not yet anyway.

I will be thrilled to get out of the Depression Dome tonight with four points and no injuries.
