Can’t believe the dislike towards Setters. I assume the same individuals were wanting Fisher and/or Martin gone last week.

I don’t really dislike Setters and I haven’t posted about him in the past, but he seems to be a little invisible in games and just a bit of a vanilla player. Doesn’t offer a lot. I guess when we recruited him I was expecting a bit more.

Is McGovern due back this week?

Tom didn’t exactly play himself back into the frame.

I’d drop Owies and bring TDK back, play JSOS forward all day.

Cripps for Setterfield

Give Dow a run, maybe have Newnes or Kennedy as the sub.

I never thought I’d say this but I’d rather Plowman then Parkes

TDK offered very little in the VFL, I wouldn’t be promoting him any time soon.

Same. TDK is a long way off it.
For me it's in Cripps and out Setters.
Cripps doesn't come up Dow for Setters.
Depending on matchups maybe Plow for Parks.
Am assuming Gov still at least a week away.

Des, Kennedy as the sub?

Matthew Kennedy possibly our most improved player over the last year?

Possibly has a slight drop off in form but still a gun mid.

Freo have both Darcy & Lobb in the ruck don't they?

I'd bring TDK back in

No more Plowman. Been given enough opportunities. Parks needs more time.

Don't want to knock someone when they're down, but TDK isn't a ruckman atm, he's a dead set liability.

If we could just play 4 quarters of football. Unfortunately the best we can do is 2.

The opposition are still kicking multiple goals in a row ... just like last year.

We are extremely fragile and I am expecting Freo to trounce us ... but I live in hope. :yikes:

Kennedy's last 2 games have been awful. Sad to say imo he's back to stuck in concrete.
He has to lift. He's played 3 really good games in a row, but if he plays 3 bad games in a row, don't be surprised to see the spotlight on him.

Pressure for spots. He's an inside mid, and there's an inside mid knocking the door down: Dow.

True, but VFL form isn’t everything. There will be some opposition and some conditions where we can get away with SOJ as second ruck, but not every week.

Still had 20 touches
People are suggesting Dow should come in.
A dream game for Dow would be 20.
If that's Kennedy worst I will take it

Silvagni is more than enough for Lobb.

Rory is your quintessential long streak of pelican shit.

He's running around with a decent bandage on his thigh so I'd suggest he's had a bad corky or similar for the past 2 weeks.
But he still had our second most clearances and centre clearances yesterday. He's as hard at the ball as any of our mids, he gets back and helps the defenders and he's strong overhead. It's probably more an indictment on the completeness of Dows game that the coaches will go with a 75% Kennedy over a fit Dow. As you know Bondi I'm as big a Dow fan as anyone but he needs to add more to his game when the ball is in an uncontested situation or when the opposition have it. Time is running out for him.

 can't argue about that.

I only saw Kennedy on tv this week ... deep corkies are a pain in the cork.

I want better from Kennedy....close to the one in rounds 1-3.
He's shown plenty end 2021 and early 2022 .
Unfortunately I remember his really slow days and how it made me feel about the team and club standards.

I get it. Agree.

I wish them both all the best.
