Sos will be a loss but it's time for TDK to stand and deliver. We have depth.

Jack is a massive loss for our struggling transition game… perhaps this is the week that Charlie dares to venture beyond halfway?

This is an upgrade from last year when there seemed to be no attention given to risk/contingency

Then Brayshaw, then Taberner. And then the average Freo player who comes from nowhere to have his best (and last notable) game of his career.

Which is exactly why they will and must play TDK.

I bet he comes into the side.

Tom would still be working through his PTSD from the last time he was fenced in with Sean Darcy.

Shit. Not good. Hope TDK at the very least shows a willingness to compete.
Is 5 straight games without getting injured a record for SOJ?

I was just wondering how many consecutive games he's played. Poor SOJ, we all love the guy, but jeeze he gets some injuries.

Got your wish! Good guessing....

TDK can hopefully show that the GCS game was an aberration

(I know he'll have Pitto for support this time...)

Go Blues

I'm really glad TDL has been selected.

I'm a fan of 2 rucks....not a Jack. Jack can ruck in the forwardline.
I'm a fan of Pitto's best, and his resilence. Did I mention his improvement.
I'm a fan of some of the amazing things TDK has shown us to raise an eyebrow.
I'm a fan of TDK's leap and mismatch potential: the Now.

No one is perfect, and some have a weapon or two others can dream of.
If coached and planned for well, and that's on Voss, we have a ripper with Pitto.

Don't forget what TDK & Pitto did in round 1, how, why and when they shined.
We have a good duo to compete with Gawn and Jackson: not better, but getting there.
Oh yeah, in the preseason Pitto & TDK beat Gawn & Jackson overall: hence our win.

TDK is not No 1 ruck material, and may not be till 2024...5. But good enough to be No.2 if coach can make it happen.

Jack is a huge out. He's been bloody fantastic this year and consistent. We will miss him.

Anyone honestly think we'll win this?

I think we've used all our lives against Freo and they are due.

Need goals from our small forwards, something that hasn't been happening.

Do you really think our players have the mental resilience to be considered favourites and actually win?

I think we can absolutely win but we won't be able to amass a huge 1/2 time lead and stare them down.

Better approach I think is be with them at half time then unleash an epic Carlton 3rd qtr like we used to do.

Lets see what they do tonight.

We'll know a hell of a lot more about our team after this challenge.
I expect it to be aggressive and perhaps a bit spiteful. Serong seems to like getting in our players faces and Cripps likes to stick up for his team mates so I expect a few skirmishes and perhaps a bit of blood to flow.
If we see improvement in our transition from defence and the players play with spirit and intent, that will do me.
With Kennedy out, we need Cerra to fire and not underperform or be distracted playing his old team.

Jack is a big loss. I love having him as second ruck as he competes, he gets forward and hits the scoreboard and he gives us ground level grunt at the stoppages. At the moment, TDK offers very little other than another tall to fly at the footy up forward. Hopefully he is pissed off about being dropped and comes out with a bit of aggression.

This is just another BIG test for Vossy's Carlton.

Accounted for recent finalists Tigers Port and Doggies, and that says we are capable of a challenge.

Now for the team sitting in the Top 4; a position we could be in if Swans lose to Hawks or Lions lose to the Suns and we win.

Yeah , thats it i reckon " Vain ". We just gotta get nasty . Real nasty . Play 'em at there own game but get in first old style Carlton . Faaark , i would love Jimmy Buckley and the " Dominator " playing . Shit they would make a mess of this mob . Yep " Vain ", i reckon you are right on the money , go in hard and be hostile and nasty . Reckon that will do the trick .
