We have seen some really exciting football from the Blues and I fully expected them to become a competition heavyweight in 2022.

However, we have won 5 out of 16 quarters and have reverted back to the same old ways of 2021.

I have lost confidence in their progress and I think we will lose this game.

I think aside from the fact Voss is new and the players won't have bed down all the game plan yet I think one glaring issue is there are still a fair amount of players who just aren't made of the right stuff.

These types get exposed for all to see when things get a little bit tough.

The good news is I believe in most instances we have better options in the VFL / on the sidelines. So it's not as if the list is bereft of talent.

Don't know but he was exposed on the ground yesterday.

He has shown some nice things but I'm yet to see evidence he will be a total jet.

Overrated.

68% game time… surely that’s in the ‘managed’ category?

Only 70% for Kennedy, so it might’ve been as simple as pre-rehearsed rotations going to pot once Cripps came out of the line up.

In any case, the top line data suggests we were more than one mid short.

I think people focus way too much on this stat as a way to undermine our season. If you win one quarter by 40 points and lose the other three by 2 points each, then by the quarters won stat it's "damning" despite an easy win. Why not look at contested and uncontested possessions, clearances, F50 entries, conversion rates, and all the other categories where we produced strong numbers over the first month of the season? These stats actually tend to translate into wins and losses. Quarters won mean little, especially when a team that's 5-11 in quarters is 3-1 in matches.

Better reflection of whats going on ' GX ". And thats what gives me hope of definite improvement . At last we are getting more of the ball plain and simple . Thats something to work with . No way known Voss is gonna sit on his hands and cop it . He's a crash or crash through sort of bloke .

I don't think we had any tired players after Sundays effort, or lack of.

Rumour is he's going to play. Which given our record with this stuff doesn't exactly fill me with confidence

Indeed, I’d much rather we learn to win without him than risk a worse injury.

Even if it is at the most minor of minor levels, give him a week off to make absolute sure. We can't win this week without him, we aren't fair dinkum. Risk of him tearing it properly by taking a risk and then missing 4-6 weeks is far too great.
