It’s a sad to say Plowman has played over 100 games in the Navy Blue

Look on the bright side. Father, son.

Absolutely!

Seeing Cotrell and Newnes gives me nightmares.

The thing I like about the two of them is that they get 100% out of themselves. Fisher is clearly more talented than them both but he coasts on his talent. Same with Jack Martin. Maybe we should play one or two wiggo/Mitch robbo types who just always give their best over a couple flaky troy menzel types.

Absolutely !

Plowman out and hopefully a regular out.

He has become a dour footballer with age.
He doesn't take intercept marks, doesn't break lines, doesn't offer an aggressive pass to open up the ground....just a negative lockdown player.

BUT, he's damn good depth, and I'm grateful he's still on our list, and hope we don't have to break glass to use him much.

Depth is important.

Lets hope Parks brings the form in the VFL to the AFL, because in his last foray in the AFL he faded fast: maybe wasn't fit enough to carry that first game form.

Hasn't anyone told you we needed to play him because of a lack of depth on our unbalanced list?

Watson, Mitchell, McCarthy didn't quite work out 10 years ago

List is getting better with Plowman now depth.

We look forward to Parks from the SAFL, and dour own drafted players like Kemp and Akuei develop good habits in the VFL.

We have imports, "money bags" McGovern and "missing" Marchbank to return soon too, sending Plow way back in the pecking order.

We move on.

We look ahead.

Go Blues

Absolutely

There's also another subtle message to Setterfield and LOB (if they are selected as I expect), the MC has selected into the squad the 2 form wings from our undefeated VFL team Newnes and Cottrell, to possibly take their spot in the seniors.

If the MC thinks the ageing Newnes and the headless chook Cottrell are in line for selection to replace the incumbents, the writing is on the wall for Setters and LOB ...

we also get a good look at Amon this weekend  another bonafide wing....Philp to continue showing his wares.

Pressure is on for spots.

Huge ins for Port this week:

Aliir Aliir,
Jeremy Finlayson,
Robbie Gray,
Sam Hayes,
Sam Skinner

Sam Hayes possibly for Lycett, or they are going with 2 rucks.

FFS don't target Alir, and his opponent should take him out of his area like Sache did last year for Footscray.

I go over the bench and change my ins every time.
Currently, I’m going with Dow, TDK, Williams and LOB with Setterfield as sub

Have Allir & Gray played any reserves footy at all or are they straight in?

Apparently Lycett is now out with Sam Hayes named as the starting ruck.

Well, Voss is certainly making a statement.
That should put a smile on Keogh’s face - and anyone, incl me, who is hoping that Voss would set high standards and back this with selection.

Wouldve thought Dow makes the cut to replace Crippa but guess not. Those who got dropped all deserved it. Zac F and Jack M should consider themselves lucky.

Very nervous about so many changes. Then I look at the outs and ask myself can any of them consider themselves unlucky based on their output so far this season. IMHO the answer is no.

Be a fair few others on thin ice too I suspect.

Literally have no idea what we will dish up on Sun. This game will tell us a lot. Same old Carlton or finally a proper new regime with new standards and expectations of performance?

Clearly hoping for the latter.
