Really bad last night unfortunately
There was a bit of a sense of inevitably about this as we have problems with GC and the win last week papered over a very average last half to that game
Ultimately if you offered me 3-1 at the start of the year I would have taken it in a heartbeat so it now becomes about next week and the response
Maybe they sugarcoated over last week due to the win but no way that can happen this week
Over to Voss and the coaches to make sure we see a response next week
Boyd, Martin, Fisher, TDK, Plowman, Fogarty all on shaky ground heading into this week

It didn't take long for the old Carlton to emerge and crush our hopes.
The signs were there last week, and as others have said, it was not a surprise we dished up garbage.
Lets see what Voss can do with this group to get them up against Port.

First in , best dressed . Apart from there running power they went in VERY hard for the ball . I"m sure Voss noted the meakness and timidity . Don't worry , Voss will slowly and surely weed "em out .

From twitter:

Carlton first 3 weeks kicked 6.9, 7.2 & 7.3 from stoppages. Managed only 0.4 yesterday.

Yes , coz we were continually outnumbered at the stoppages . Not to mention they were first in for the ball .

Hello darkness my old friend

As others have said, the signs have been there in the last 2 games

Pitto to Cripps long bomb to f50 was easy for opposition coaches to counter...

3-1 I will take after the last 15 years but woeful last night and not unexpected
Belt Port and then lose to Freo over there is my prediction
Not mature enough to win interstate don’t bri v enough heat and give home teams in the other state enough reason if they hit us hard we will gold
Need to win interstate and bring A game to every venue and State

Until then continue to be alsorans

Nothing changes.
Teddy wants Setters dropped on a weekly basis and Keogh re-appears with 20 negative posts after a loss.

I don't agree with this at all ...

Witt is one of two or three ruckmwn that we couldn't afford to not have pitto in.

Witt's, gawn, Grundy (and in the past Mumford) we would struggle against without pitto

If anything it shows how vital he has become for first touch (which we didn't get yesterday)

I don't think that's us being found out etc.. that's us not having the personell or depth just yet

x 2
Not to mention the loss of the contested beast Cripps and the pressure forward Durdin.

We still have other things to work on but hopefully that loss puts the pressure on and we get a good response this week.

The saints got Marshall and Paddy back and look a different team. I agree, we cannot underestimate the value of a dominant ruck esp. with the 666 rule these days.

Very true.

Setterfield was doing nothing even when we were winning. You disputing that?

Meanwhile we have guys like Dow in the VFL. Wing may not be his natural position but give him a go. Couldn't do any worse.

By the way, Setterfield was picked at 5 in his draft year. Maybe he wouldn't be getting games if not for that.
