We won.
No idea how.
We didn’t deserve it.

But hey it’s nice to win one where we played horrible for 3 quarters

Hard to know what to make out of that. Brilliant first qtr, god damn awful for 2 3/4 qtrs then lifted when it mattered.

Take the win and run …

Brilliant start, then 4 goals after quarter time.

If the high energy high clearance game isn't running then it's a struggle.

Not a bad game from Lewis Young in his first Carlton game.

Big pluck from Harry on the wing.

Docherty and Weitering big defensive efforts.

Good to see Silvagni kicking straight.

Not sure who gets the votes.

Brilliant 1st qtr

Outplayed for the rest of the game... fell over the line... 4 points

Saved an embarrassing loss but have plenty to work on...

Cerra looked pretty flat, reckon he wasn’t fully recovered from covid.

Looked completely lethargic and reactive after quarter time. But geez the first quarter was electric.

Saad and stocker will be a big upgrade on Newman and Boyd.

Martin is another level to Owies Durdin and fisher and should have played.

And I think we can upgrade on O’Brien even though he’s improved. Would love some more speed

Lewis Young is a keeper. Reads the game incredibly well and his extra height and reach is a huge advantage. There would nice little montage from all his spoils from the game

I wonder if there’s some more covid cases through the group. We looked dead on our feet from quarter time on

Not sure what to think. We lost our heads. Lewis Young was terrific on debut. Silvagni and Hewett were the only ones who played in the 2nd half. Boyd was not up to it.

Good game.

Was it just me or was the bounce of the ball weird for both teams all day?

Weird yes... thought the ball bounced their way for most of the game

Maybe Dawks are better than we think.
Maybe we aren't as good as we think.

Fisher and Owies yes but Durdin stays. Not convinced about Martin. Has not really shown what he can do consistently.

Will take the four points and run but FMD that was a brutal way to win.

Hope to god they review that game hard. Plenty of learnings.

Agree. Boyd reminded me of a Carlton player of the 2015-2019 era. Jason Tutt kind of vibe. First game so not going to write him off yet but he’ll need to keep developing in the 2s. We’re infinitely better with Saad in the team
