Does anyone have a picture of Ken Hunter's mark of the year in 1983 - or any other Ken Hunter marks for that matter?

Jezza ones are also welcome... if anyone has one.

Was Lappin's mark in 99 the last time a blues player won the mark of the year? and who was the Carlton player who won it prior to that?

 nice one.

Seriously, where's the best place to find photo's of this kind?

the reason why i asked was that the picture on the carlton website for the most memorable moments at princes park wasn't very clear.

Also, I thought that Italian Styles or someone else may have been able to download a picture.

Walker won the Mark of the Year in the hearts and minds of everyone in the world, including Kracker, who Bartlett selected.

Kevin Bartlett is a disgrace to football.

Yep. He did it week in week out for along time, and from his first game.
He was amazing before coming to carlton too.

He's right up there. Can'r argue against that Mickstar.

Showed my kids the highlights I could find of Kenny, and they are in awe. Unbelievable player, and unbelievable he didn't end up 6 foot under during his career.

A phenomena of the game, not just Carlton.

What was Parkin's line? Something like "Ï don't know how he doesn't get killed more often"?

Pretty sure Sam Walsh won mark of the year a couple of years ago much to the disgust of Kane Cornes.

And I echo Bondi's comments on Andrew Walker's mark of the year

Something of a set play, was Geoff Southby when kicking out, was going long straight up the guts.
Ken Hunter ran with the flight of the ball, marked it kept running then kicked long(ish). A Carlton goal often followed.
Gutsy, running with flight at the best of times, but he did it regularly.

Even talking to supporters of other clubs, everyone agrees Walkers mark should have been mark of the year.

If anything….

it’s made Walkers mark more famous for NOT
winning…!

if it had won…it may have been caught in the wash up…
this way people go…”how did THAT happen”…!

kindest regards tommi

Allowed his “anti-Carlton” schtick persona on SEN (at the time) to override his supposed status a football scribe.

Luke Darcy did a similar thing being the one out to voting for Rozee as Rising Star rather than Sam Walsh.

He did. It was similar to the one that Hunter won mark of the year for. Both running backwards into a pack, both courageous.
Everyone knows Walker got robbed. His mark is one shown on many highlight packages advertising AFL.
