There are around 40 blokes on the list You need at least 30 who can do the business The bottom 6 best players win you the flag every year Having one guy going down shouldn’t make such a difference Obviously Walsh should of had surgery a few months back A slow start to the year would be better? I have been as big a critic of Russell & co as anyone over the last few years but I can sort of see the method to the madness here. I guess they just wanted to absolutely see if they could avoid back surgery on a 22 y.o., & stretched out the timeline as long as possible, while there was a chance. Still infuriating though.
