Ch7 news had Sawyers saying we've made changes to the High Perf and Medical teams to address the issues!?

Any information about what's happening/happened?

Go Blues

Injured players won't be training as hard as the fit ones. Ground breaking stuff.

Yeah , i listened to that . To fix a problem you have to admit you have a problem . Nice to hear the Prez speak . Just common sense stuff really . Nothing revolutionary , just tweaking things , tinkering around the edges sorta stuff . Fine by me .

Excellent. Be so good to have a reasonable injury run…
Saw Matt Cotterall from afar today. Moon boot and leg trolley thing - ie no weight bearing.
Have no idea what the issue is but hope he is able to get back into it soon…
Had been rumoured on BF a week ago….

Sam Walsh has had surgery on his back. Will miss the start of the 2023 season. The curse continues.

Link on club website below:
https://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/12601 ... -sam-walsh

Last paragraph indicates will miss at least the first month of the season

“Due to the long-term nature of this rehabilitation, it isn’t possible to confirm a set date for his return right now. Once the opening month of the season has been completed though, we expect to be able to provide more clarity on his expected return to play.”

Hahahhahaha.

He'll be lucky to run laps after the first month of the season.

Honestly need to clean out the entire medical team. This is just pure negligence at this point.

Hopefully he comes back the second half of the season
A few days ago Hansen was saying nothing about surgery

Just do not listen the club these days in regards to injuries

It's Sam Walsh so I'll be surprised if he's not back in the side by Good Friday.

Like clockwork we get the annual injury/surgery to a player over pre season that has them missing pre season and the start of the next season. Disappointing but entirely predictable at this point. Got to hope for no more pre season injuries from here to key players which, based on past experience, is probably an idealistic expectation to have.

If it wasn’t so serious it’d be funny.

Best of luck Walshy

And so it begins……actually it never ends. What I’d give just to get a fair crack at it.

This club is cursed

Expecting a Charlie Curnow pre season incident to put a nail in the coffin

Can’t believe the difference between Geelong’s dream run with injuries compared to us

Back surgery at 22 is not a good sign
