Yeah . And he also mentioned he would have been happy not to have touched the ball in those last two games if it meant we won the game and played finals ...................and the Brownlow outdated ? Bullshit . It has been around since the game started and has continuously brought us great champions of the game time and time again . A great award that has stood the test of time and may it continue in its current format . Rather the umpires than some tricked up johnny come lately fancy dan bullshit panel of so called experts who would have there own bias's .

With a panel, you would have C Rosie winning the brownlow with 6 good average games Mick

George Hewett still looked very proppy at the B and F last night, which is not surprising after back surgery.

With pre season starting in November I cannot see him having full preparation and wouldn't be surprised if he missed a chunk of the start of the season.

I'd rather he miss the first 5-6 games and get him right.

It is a concern though.

The majority of the senior guys aren't due back until early in the new year, so he has time on his side.

... and, he has built up a fitness base having completed 8 full preseasons after his first year.

When he had his bulging disc at the Swans, that was during the year, and he came back well from that. So much so he came 3rd in the BnF at the Swans the following year.

He'll be right. He's in good hands.

Our problem isn't getting players up and running for Pre-season. It's keeping them on the park during the season.
In-season fitness management should be the area we are scrutinising.

Yep, especially the likes of Marchbank, McGovern, Hewett, Martin and Zac Williams. If these players can get through the pre-season unscathed then will be happy.
