Injuries to second choice players still hurt though.

A lot of the time we're replacing firsts with thirds

Agreed CK.

Early in the year I remarked to a fellow Blues supporter that one reason why we were doing well was because of far better depth. We were able to replace a few injured players with others that were similar in ability - unlike previous years where an injury to a top 10 player would mean the replacement was nowhere near as competent.

Unfortunately 14 players missing puts us back in a similar position. It is also causing us to bring back injured players too soon when they may have recovered from the injury but are called on to play a role in the senior side with insufficient match play experience.

It would be a great effort to maintain our spot in the 8, have the pre finals bye, get a few players back and win a final or 2.

Yes ..... the BYE before finals would be the bye to regroup. The mid season one has always done the opposite.
Just need to make those damn finals.

I was just about to post this.
Person on facebook claims to seen him yesterday and said Matt was wearing a moon boot and has only just found out the extent of the injury.

I'd forgotten that Kennedy was originally out with a jaw/concussion. Must have been some serious vibration to rupture his ankle ligaments.

FMD we have had a ridiculously bad run this year! Surely it can't get any worse, so hopefully next year we are the ones that are kissed on the dick.

We've been among the worst for injuries every year for as long as I can remember. Mixture of bad recruitment, bad player management, and I suppose a little bad luck.

There really needs to be a review about our constant injury issues

Can’t simply be bad luck
