We traded for an injury prone player.
We can't rely on Gov.

I'm guessing Pitto and Gov will be conditioned for the run to the Finals...no choice really.

So who is our intercept mark? I think Kemp is the only one left, and he's sitting in the twos. FMD.

Kemp not only sitting in the twos, but playing in the forward line. Be interesting to see where he lines up in the vfl tomorrow.

Actually played as the loose man in defence. Didn't look AFL quality to me TBH. Needs to quicken up. He's suppose to be quick and mobile for his size. Allright...

If Young is suspended, and I doubt he will be, Kemp is next soldier in line: the cupboard is bare with Jones, McDonald, McGovern, Marchbank.

Next tallest available is Akuei, followed by Philp.

Is he on our list?

They mention him every now and then, but no news he's injured or even training, or....is he being hidden with the aim to get him on LTI list, maybe to get us a mid year pick

Omac - possible stress fracture out for year
Gov - surgery gone for 8 weeks
Stocker back in 2 weeks

Bit of relief with Stocker if only 2 weeks. O-Mac news isn't good. Young looks like he's gone past him, but we now have virtually no cover. Gov, I'd be pleasantly surprised if he is back in 8 and doesn't get injured again.

That's vastly different to the update we got on OMac a couple of weeks ago. Rotten luck for him

That is rotten luck for team and players and supporters

OMac ... cops it for a 2nd year
Gov cops it for a 5th year in a row

Jeez. Only at Carlton does a 4 week hamstring turn into a 16 week hamstring.

Does he go on the LTI list? How does it work these days?

McGovern out for pretty much the rest of the season really opens up the door for Marchbank to make his return. It would be hard to see how Marchbank would fit in the side if Gov was fit as they both play that third tall intercept role. Neither are big enough to play the Jones/Young role
