I look at it this way.

We have
Harry
Jack martin
Hewett
Stocker
McDonald
McGovern
Pittonet
Marchbank
Parks
All out.

We don't have Liam Jones

We have covered those guys without needing to play

Darcy Lang
Boekhurst
Sumner
Polson
Fasolo
Pickett
Gibbons
Goddard
Mullett
Jarrod Garlett

... Because we have no choice

We are covering outs. Big outs. We have covered Cripps, Cerra, Hewett outs from the midfield. We have won with Walsh looking about 60% of his capacity.

This list is strong. It has depth.

It sucks that big H is injured. But I believe our team has the depth to cover outs. I think the list of names above demonstrates it.

Glass half full...

I hope Voss and the team don't have the same defeatist attitude being shown in this thread.

Good teams find a way. No more excuses.

This team are well and truly capable of covering Harry’s scoring output.

The great unknown is going to be the after effects of removing such a large object from the system. Defensive positioning is guaranteed to change.

We all know that 6-8 weeks will be 6-8 months and that the injury will finish up being far worse than what they’re reporting.

Was thinking the same - his marking on the wing out of defence will be missed.

We struggle in this aspect of our game, I hope we are now training some new ways to clear from kick ins!

This post is comforting.

So far so good at covering injured players ... but 10 out injured is a tough ask.

It’s ok folk….

we’re a good team…and improving exponentially…!

with 1/3 of the year down…imagine another 1/3…?

then ANOTHER…1/3 that is…scary good…!

look…i know injuries aren’t…”great”…but we’ve banked
at least 2 wins more than expected…as long as we hold
it together in said middle “1/3” of the season…players
will start coming back slowly…!

fourteen games left…win seven…that’s 13 for the
season…we’re playing finals…!

with at LEAST our best 22 available…!

kindest regards tommi

With a bit of luck we get Pitto and Harry back in 6 and there is a bye so they only miss 5 games

Marchbank is already thriving in the VFL

Martin back in a week

Honey to resume in a week

Stocker back maybe this week

Hewett back maybe this week

Plowman back maybe this week
