Plowman Young McGovern
Docherty Weitering Saad
Setterfield Cripps O’Brien
Martin Curnow Fisher
Silvagni McKay Owies
Pittonet Cerra Walsh
TDK Dow Fogarty Cottrell
Kemp

We still have a decent side up and about.
Cripps, Cerra and Walsh with support from Dow, Fisher, Fogarty and Martin are enough. They just need to bring the aggression and pressure. Hope to see Dow and Fogarty given midfield time, as time is now.

True

Just have to bring their A Game, and we can win this. Enough stars...if Martin can star.

I just don't feel comfortable relying on Dow and Fogarty who are on par with LOB, Setterfield, Plowman.

No doubt we can win this...against the odds...if the Carlton players bring their A game.

Any mathematician or wise man or woman will tell you that this is beyond bad luck.

This may seem ridiculous or a brash statement but it’s not folks.

To make good decisions, you must understand the difference between fate and free will. Life is a delicate balance between the two.

Fate delivers opportunities, while free will determines whether or not you take them.

We have 13 players unavailable, the majority of teams in the top 8 or in contention have less than 5 unavailable.

Its better than the 17 we had out, not including Jones who was effectively banned by the AFL rules, making it 18 missing from our List at the start of the season.

Its unbelievable.

For those who remember 2002, our first wooden spoon ever (150 years), we had 22 out injured at one stage of the season, and no less than 15 from round 5-6.

Its miraculous we have 12 wins on the board with 3 games to go.

Michael Voss admits George Hewett might not return from a back injury this year.

"We're hoping that's not the case but we've got to wait to see whether the interventions we've put in place have worked."

Says @CarltonFC should know middle next week @9NewsMelb

Obviously a recurrence of this injury back in 2020:

Quote:
Sydney Swans midfielder George Hewett joins a long list of Swans players on the sidelines, with the 24-year ruled old out for a significant period due to a back injury.

Hewett has a bulging disc in his back which will see him out of action for 6-8 weeks.

“George has had a back issue for most of this year but it blew up during the course of the game and he will go in for an operation next week,” Longmire said.

“He was getting back into some really good form so it’s unfortunate we have lost him for a significant amount of time.”

Perhaps that's why they let him go.

Nah, they wanted to keep him....so did all their supporters. Fam favourite.
He played all of 2021 IIRC.

He came 2nd in the BnF in 2019 behind Rampe. 2nd!!

Sydney offered him a contract.
Things were tight at Sydney, and still are whilst they keep paying the back ended Buddy contract.
