Big Al is named in both squads, maybe he’ll play a half of both? Same with Dow & Fogarty.

Not a good start for Young - not selected in a squad of 26 and the just so-so Williamson picked ahead of him.

Returning from injury. He's probably on limited minutes

Did not see Plowman named in either squad and not on injured list either?

1/4 time Carlton 5 3 33. Saints 2 1 13
We are winning the contested ball
Cripps is dominant
Great run off half back
Zac Williams get a lot of the ball
McGovern looking good down back
Great defensive pressure in the forward 50

Nice start. Got it on in the background. Looks like Owies SOS & Obrien were busy

O’Brien still too weak in the contest, caught twice with the ball in a few minutes and wasn’t strong enough to dispose of the ball legally.

Looks like we Jordan Boyd may end up in the same basket as O’Brien.

O'Brien has been hard to watch ever since he shirked that first contest early.

1/2 time Carlton 5 8 38. Saints 6 8 44
If the first quarter is what we want, the second quarter is what we don't want. All St Kilda, we were second to the ball & about eight turnovers through poor skill errors.
Cerra hasn't done a lot but looks classy when he gets it.
Cripps is probably our best so far.

Same old.

No system.

Bomb it long into the forward line.

Lose it out the back.

Does nothing (so far) to inspire any confidence we will be any better than last season.

Pittonet playing well, as is Cripps

I've only been catching snippets

There is really only so much you can glean from praccy matches. We don't know what sort of trials & experimental setups both coaches are running out there

The main things I'm hoping for are no injuries & a decent contest, that's it.

Agree, unless we win or lose by 10 plus goals the score is irrelevant.

Oh dear... Can't imagine will last long with Voss/Hamill/Hansen/Diesel having a say

... And... Please... No injuries

Go Blues!

Is there a strong wind? Seems to be goals being scored at one end only pretty much.
