Why do the Scum get rewarded with Friday night for winning a single game?

Edit - I just saw its one of the bye rounds with not many games, and it's some kind of anniversary. Look forward to ruining it for them.

Following our Friday night games against the cheats, we play Richmond on Thursday night and Freo the week after at 1.45pm on the Saturday.

Following up on Missnauts post, I thought the purpose of rolling fixture was to reward good teams with appropriate time slots. The cheats play on Friday night for 3 consecutive weeks despite having only won one game for the season. Ridiulous.

Saturday night against Crows in SA followed by a Sunday arvo at the Gabba and then Sat night at the G against the Dees.

That is true in principle however when a side like Geelong gets 4 percentage boosting games against really shit teams like WC and Norf it really skews the top 4.

But I agree, out of our hands, win anywhere any time.

One thing we know for sure is Essendon** won't be winning a final this year.

Carlton and Collingwood’s final round blockbuster will be the penultimate game of the home and away season, scheduled for 3.20pm on Sunday, August 21 to take advantage of the massive interest in the finals-shaping clash.

The AFL has decided that the other massive game from the final round (23), between the Brisbane Lions and Melbourne at the Gabba, will be played on Friday night.

Apparently the fans favorite time slot is Saturday afternoon while the TV station likes Friday night. As I hate watching Carlton games on TV I am very happy for Saturday arvo and consider it the prime time slot.

I am honestly not fussed about the draw. Ready anytime, anywhere. No point making the finals on the back of 6 victories against the bottom 6 sides. We get in, we get in having played the teams we will play in the finals anyway. I don't want to just make finals I want to win finals And I want to do that for the next 5 years .. easy draws aren't the answer to that success.

Exactly, to be the best you've got to beat the best. Do we want to be a battle hardened side, or a side that gets a dream run each year and crashes out (cough Geelong)?
