Wait wait wait. With all the champions they like to send up. The champions from Lalor & Bendigo (Kouta, Southby), that get sent up to the Carlton firsts. Where they keep their end up (hold up their end of the bargain through hard work)

All is right with the world again

And those same champions will know that they’ve been playing against the famous old dark blues?

We are the Navy Blues. We are the old, dark, Navy Blues. We’re the team that never lets you down. We’re the only team all Carlton knows. With all the champions they like to send up, we’ll keep our end up and they will know that they’ve been playing against the famous, old, dark, Blues.

Who the @#$%&! knows, Dr sherrin please come back!

If we can't figure it out how would the players?

Time to adjust the words so they are meaningful? Looking at blueseum it's happened before

I like it.

It has swagger.

My favourite bits are

"Dha-dha-dha ...daa!"

"we are the navy blues"- sounds strong, boastful.

"With......all" - I like that change in note and how it hovers on With.....

Maybe an accompanying song based on Harry McKay kicking goals would be nice.

He's Harry, He's Harry, He's kicked another...and you're * all scum" something cheerful for the kids like that.
There is a bit to work on.

* "you're" - being anyone who is not of the navy blue persuasion.

He's Harry, He's Harry, He's kicked another ...and your team is nothing but parasitic worms."

something that 6 year olds can sing along to and feel uplifted by.

It’s a great song.

Who cares what it’s about?

Dylan, Cohen, Bowie, Yorke, Tweedy...

Who the @#$%&! knows what they’re on about half of the time but it doesn’t matter.

Art is personal interpretation.

Sometimes the meaning is between the lines.

Just sing it @#$%&! loud after every game and I’ll be happy.

Hey when I was a kid I received a tape (like, an actual audio tape) from the club. It had two songs on it. The regular theme song on side A, and another song on side B.

I think it was called "Blue is our colour"…

Blue is our colour
Football is our game
We're Carlton boys together
And winning is our aim
We're sure we can win that flag again
'coz Carlton, Carlton is our name

Down at Princes Park, whether rain or shine
We can shine all the time!
Home or away come and see us play
You're welcome any day

Down at Princes Park we'll welcome you
We're Navy Blue, see us through
??Something something members all entwined?? - anyone know this?
Sing Carlton everyone
