Bertocchi have been a sponsor of Carlton for over ten years but have decided to significantly increase their sponsorship for this year with Pagan playing a major role after recently meeting with Bertocchi owner John Bertocchi at the company plant in Thomastown.

They arent actually new sponsors - full credit to them for increasing their sponsorship but I would love to know financials (historical sponsorship compared to being a 'coach' sponsor). Technically, the board would have been better off gaining a completely new sponsor whilst maintaining bertocchi at a similar level of sponsorship.

The post had nothing to do with perspective - People get emotive when it comes to sponsors so I thought I'd just highlight some pertinant facts. That way members can make their own informed decisions about things ;)

Positive media day today. All media were invited to PP for a kick to kick with players. If any media (all of them) scored a goal they won a Bertocchi ham to take home.

Good vibe to kick off the season.

Let's hope we can bring the bacon home thios weekend too...

Bah-tish!! 8)

Pagan, when asked how the boys will perform on the weekend, replied "I hope it's a crackling!"

I HATE YOU, YOU STOLE ALL THE GOOD ONES.

Edit: I got one - Carlton '06 brought to you by Bertochi - It's been beefed up. :D

BTW, the reporters I was talking with today were amazed at how much bigger Murphy was from when he was drafted...
