OK, I'm stretching of course but trying to see a silver lining: Jones is 30. He may have had a year or two left in him playing good, uninjured footy and may well have been done anyway just as we're gelling and challenging under Voss.

He was a great player for us, yes, but people also forget the monumental brain fades at times... plus the turnovers... onwards and upwards!

Does anyone think the AFL will help us out to replace Jones ? The article said Carlton were working with the AFL in relation to Jones replacement.

They've been known in the past to only help teams whose players do take jabs

Having said all that, Remember last year, even with Jones in the team, we were leaking Goals with ease. God help us, how we going to fare without him!


With our current list, we Do not have any player capable of playing FB. Jones was the only option we had. He was the best at it.

Of all of the AFL players the only one who refused the vaccine had to be a Carlton player.

Seeing as the AFL (along with Mr anti-beer/sunset - you can't look at sunsets - Dan Andrews) are in bed together the least the AFL can do is to provide assistance to Carlton.
