The NRL will continue with about 15 unvaccinated players.

AFL players don't get vaccinated for themselves. It's for family, friends and society in general.
I think most people under 40 have been vaccinated without their own health being the primary concern.

Don't think those 15 players will be allowed to play interstate. Melbourne Storm, being in Victoria, won't get a choice.

Good on Jones for standing by his beliefs. I disagree with his choice, but I admire his ball size.

If the report is correct that he did his own research on the consequences of getting the vaccine and then relied on that to make his decision then that is just DUMB given he has access to much better health advice than the vast majority of us

Yes entitled to make his own decision but do it after being properly and appropriately informed not via Dr Google or some other half baked internet sources

And given the decision will be very difficult to feel sorry for him if he subsequently falls on hard times or does not have a fulfilling post football career or life.

A big price to pay for being ill informed when you don’t need to be

Agree he made his decision. Nobody forced him. He is aware of the consequences - not just being forced into retirement, but being locked up longer than the rest of us.
Time to move on.
We got 4 quality years out of him and midway through 2017 it didn't look that way.

I'd be careful with this line of reasoning because it could be used to exonerate * players. :D

Consider most search engines shut down and delete anything negative towards vaccine and delete anything positive to alternative solutions
I seriously doubt that Jones got his information from Dr Google .
He is young fit and healthy do your own research on how many people in that age bracket die from covid.
The covid vaccine should be treated the exact same way as a Flu vaccine

I think we can lock this thread down now. Please go to Talking Stuff for discussion about COVID, vaccinations etc.
