I had 7 on the back with WAYNE at the top and JOHNSTON at the bottom.

Above the WAYNE in the shoulder panel was a 37.

Left arm was 9.

Right arm 4.

Front left pocket 14.

Front right pocket 11.

Probably 50 Cash’s name labels down the sleeves and more than 25 player badges all over with the blue and white “sunrise” style background.

Also a bloody big rosette on the left pec.

Wish I’d kept it all. :banghead:

It’s like you’re the reincarnation of that nerdy chick at high school who was into the bass player because all the other chicks were into Simon Le Bon.

Does this mean I’m going to get emails from that Zuckerberg guy asking me if I want to play “Dominator”?

Brad Pearce purely on the strength of one season alone, 1995.

Geez what a player. Deceptively strong, lightning quick on the lead, excellent when the ball was on the deck, & a great kick.

& 4 goals in the GF

I'm perturbed that you remember Simon Le Bon.

Gill brothers. Honest triers. Remember them from early '60s I think. One of them played in the '68 grand final. Other had retired due to injury.

Just getting in before the Cazzes

Kenny Hunter for me
Then Rhys
Then the last number I had was 39 for Ang

Then you just get too old for numbers and jumpers.

I played FB in the Under 12s for Croxton Football Club. We had the CFC logo and I wore number 20

My Year 7 Maths teacher at St Joes Nth Fitzroy (Br. Paul) told me he taught Geoff at Marist Bros. College in Bendigo

I proceeded to write Geoff a letter telling him he was my hero, that I played FB, wore 20 and my maths teacher was Br Paul

He wrote back to me with a signed CFC team photo from 1972

Fast forward 40 years...my wife (who is a teacher) comes back from parent teacher night and non-chalantly tells me she spoke at length to a Carlton player who was the father of one of her students, claiming he was a lovely man

Of course, it was Geoff Southby...my #$%^&*&^ hero...and she gets to speak to him

Southby one of the all time greats. Gave Mal Blight a hiding one day at PP.

Could teach a few current day players how to kick torps.

Never quite the same after the Balme whack in the '73 GF. Never forget.
