Yep i feel that Malthouse, Pagan, Clarkson etc would only come back to stick it up someone. They got success already and feel entitled. I am happy with the choice we made with Voss. Not saying its guaranteed success but its was the right way to go.

I think Buckley is another that a club would have been happy with as he did not have success. But he is a massive figjam so not sure. Battle of Britain mk2.

Watch Clarkson come to GWS and get paid an absolute bucket load by the AFL. He thinks he will have instant success. Obviously when we approached him, it was all too hard dealing with a team that has been crap for a long time.

I have been so impressed with Vossy at every media event he has attended so far as Coach. Whether it be on a TV show or pre/post game interviews he has been near on perfect.

He is calm and polite and natural. There are no histrionics or poor form when things haven't gone well. He just answers the question in a civil, sensible manner and moves on. His post match interviews have been a great selling point for the Club. He is honest and positive with the journo's and I think as a result, they like talking with him.

What's the old saying - 'You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.'

80,000+ members seems to suggest there are plenty like me who are loving what he brings every week.

Voss knew he was our 3rd choice, but is eternally gratefully to the club he barracked for as a kid to give him an opportunity to coach them There is an internal gratitude, humility and appreciation from Voss re. his position. No ego, no hidden agenda, no poor decision making to cloud his job security He just WANTS CARLTON TO SUCCEED...it's not about him, it's about the club he has always loved
