Regardless of what happens to Voss, it’s time for Brad Lloyd to go. Do the right thing and hand in your resignation by the bye Brad. Bring in a proficient head of football who has the ability to assess the multitude of failings within the department, from players to coaches, and start fixing them.

Voss could be the worst coach the club have ever had

Imagine having a list so much better than the club have had in recent years and not being able to perform

He's actually made our good players look average. Below average in some cases

He has taken away their strengths

He talks about the players not finishing. But it's hard to finish when you predictably bomb it long time and time again

Last week it was defense
This week forward finishing

As one Fox commentator said at night "Carlton aren't connecting anywhere on the ground"

That is a complete systematic breakdown

COMPLETE SYSTEMATIC BREAKDOWN

That is game plan and coaching

Fair dinkum the club should sack him now

I just watched the press conference.

Voss didn’t seem too concerned. “More like us that we have been for a while” & “I loved parts of our game”

If that’s the level the coach tolerates then no wonder we are hopeless.

They don’t seem to care, so maybe the 90,000 members shouldn’t either

Cotters
Walsh

Maybe ‘more like us’ is a reference to the last 20 years and his aim is to get us bottom 4 not top 4.

Otherwise I’m stumped

We're done this year. We need to start planning for 2024 (sadly) by assessing our list, trialling things and game styles

Voss's media conferences worry me. All BS and no accountability

I really thought Voss would change our attitude and toughness. I was wrong

Bryce, the game plan is very clear, wait until the opposition sets up then bomb it long wait for it to spill out and watch while it flies down the other end and through the goals.

It’s not that hard to work out.

Before round 6 he was absent from the pre game presser and there were doubts he would coach the game on weekend. They said it was personal reasons . Haven't been the same since.

I wonder if there is still something going on in background that is clouding his judgement.

Or am I just clutching at straws

This assumption that we were heading in the right direction late last year is crap.

We were 4 & 8 over the last 12 rounds losing to teams like Adelaide and St Kilda.

There was no real momentum heading into this year. If anything it appears we peaked in the first half of last year and have regressed ever since.

Cripps' poor form has exposed us badly as we were winning games due to his enormous efforts to get us over the line.

Yep, when we were good last year it was on the back of the pitto-cripps-hewett-kennedy combination.

For various reasons they've all gone backwards. Like our ball movement

I don't understand the handwringing about lack of game plan.

I actually think the game plan's pretty clear.

If you don't understand it watch a game of Auskick.

There are very clear rules that players must abide by and our players are doing a stellar job.

1. When one of your players takes a mark, run around in circles with your arms in the air about five metres from the man on the mark calling for the ball so that you can get a touch despite the fact that you are in a worse position and your wasting of time will allow the opposition to set up defensively.

2. If the ball is in your hands in general play just boot the shit out of it in the general direction you're heading if you can still remember which way that is - I know it's confusing considering how it keeps changing each quarter.

3. The only time you should move the ball quickly is when kicking into the forward line and only opposition players are present.

4. If you're the captain at no time should you pass the ball to a player in a better position. You are the captain. Your teammates are rubbish compared to you and you must do everything because you are the best.

5. That's about it really.

I think Caro is right. Voss should have been appointed with much better senior experience around him. That didnt happen. Hansen and Hammill just to name two have been epic failures in their roles.

However, this club seems to always not make hard decisions. The president on the one hand "defending/supporting the coach" in recent media, but then also noting his contract, isnt a good look for the club or Voss. It just beggars belief that yet again we will go down the road of sacking another coach, when there is much more internal changes that should be done first.

“That’s a massive win, he was three on one, contested mark down the line, really good stuff,” Matthew Richardson said.

It was two on one, both smalls, and one of them went across the front of the contest untouched.

Those three idiots - Taylor, Richardson, Hodge - were in such a giddy rush to ‘analyse’ our flaws last night, they embarrassed themselves with every utterance. Even the feigned adulation was clumsy.
