We need to go to work on a few things

Doesn't seem to think Harry has a problem with his kicking

In denial

Harry isn’t the problem. Harry chases, harasses and wins the ball at the contest.

not being a smartarse, but did you think he would say any different. he has to back in these pea hearts to the press, or they might turn on him

i dunno what the problem is, coach or players, but there is definitely a problem. different team to last year. yeah we choked last year, but they gave it their all. something has changed and its glaringly obvious the club has problems, but is it the coachign team again, or the players (again)?

Yeah, not unreasonable to expect a Coleman medallist to be a reliable goal kicker.
Now he seems terrified.

Then the presssrs are a total waste of time

Wouldn't it be refreshing if a coach was honest and the players hardened up mentally

He needs to kick better. He's a forward FFS.

Get rid of him. He’s got Graham Potter written all over him. Good assistant at Port, put in charge of a big club and he’s clueless.

Let's cut to the chase......

Voss is coaching a team that is weak as p*ss....

Is it the coach? Is it the players?

There are certainly players in our team that are weak as p$ss.... Is it the players, is it the coach?

I do not know.... but Vossy.. FFS, please do not pick Zach Fisher in your team ever again

Get rid of the board that appointed him too.

We've been below average since around mid way through last year.

Injuries getting worse despite club looking into it.

Short kick..mark. shirt kick. Mark. Kick sideways. Hold the ball.. short kick. Mark. Turnover.

That's our game plan.

@#$%&! me I could instruct that style of play.

There is nothing brilliant and innovative about this rubbish style of play.

Put your head over the ball. Win the ball.
Oh that's @#$%&! rocket science.

I don't like Voss' entire attitude.
He repeatedly talks about how the opposition will have their moments.
It's like he expects games to be close.
Which by and large is how we fare under Voss.
We rarely belt teams.
Somehow I doubt McRea has that mindset. I bet McRea wants to beat teams by 10 goals. Be much netter than other teams.

They are playing this style of game to try and limit the damage coming back out.
Durdin Motlop Fisher JSOS and Honey are not providing enough defensive pressure to lock the ball in. If you remember last year when we went run and gun it would work for a while then it would come out at a rate of knots.

You now have a situation where Harry runs up to half back then gives off back and across then bolts forward to provide options while they chip around.

If the half backs and mids had any confidence in the forward locking it in they would get forward of the ball link up by hand.
If the ball turns over you are screwed as there are lose players everywhere.

We need to get better at trapping the ball in when we transition quickly to the forward 50.

They are applying tackles but they are ineffective and usually result in the defenders plus 1

Until then we fix that we are screwed and 2 or 3 of the players on our list who are good at it can't get on the park

The heat is going to come on thick and fast over the next 6 weeks, unless some things drastically change.

Eagles - Away
Lions - Marvel
Dogs - Marvel
Pies - MCG
Swans - SCG
Demons - MCG

Right now, on form, we probably win 1 of those games..... maybe

Could find ourselves down around 12th and a couple of games outside the 8

Which would be very ugly

I don’t mind the cautious approach to going inside 50. If the set up isn’t there, it isn’t there.

Making a mess of it is a bit shit though.

We’re 5-6 scoring shots a game short of a workable formula and, wouldn’t you know it, we have about that many howlers in transition.

I’d change the personnel before changing the strategy.
