Until we get results im keeping my powder dry. Swann was one of the best in the business and he couldn't get us going.

Im sick of getting excited only to find out we signed someone who took the job for the wrong reasons.

Fair enough.

I think this time is a very different era and backdrop to the Greg Swan period 2007-2014.
A lot has changed in the last 7 years he's gone...Trigg, Liddle, now Cook.

Fantastic news. So happy to get Cook. This is the bloke we wanted when we settled for Swan. His age is not an issue. Great work Luke Sayers

No doubt part of the role will be to develop a successor because 3 years is not enough…any ideas who that might be?

Hopefully there's a bit of Peter Jackson at Melbourne in all this

Hopefully there's a bit of number 17 in all this.

His record is second to none.
My reservation is his age and his length of tenure.
The club is a dogs breakfast at the moment
His record at both West Coast and Geelong was built over more than 3 years.
It won’t be an instant success thing
But yes his record in getting organizations to unite and work together is second to none
We are desperate for stability
Can we poach Wells as well

This is all about sending a foundation , structure and credibility

And no better way to start than getting cook across who can implement this

He turned Geelong around ... and got the whole club to buy in all together

Don't see it as a negative Azza. That is Keoghs version of blissful delirium.
Compared to 99% of his posts, that's unbridled joy.

Have gone from Peter Jackson to Armani in ten years.

We need to go from Cook to chef in 3.

Woke to some pretty good news this morning...!

Great stuff Sayers!

Also loving the shock and disappointment the meedya must be feeling. Especially "flogs incorporated", Lyon and Watson

Nice little taster Cazzesman, ta. I watched this similar style interview with Cook posted on BF the other day, not sure if it made its way here to TC, apologies if it's been posted elsewhere. If you haven't seen it and have a spare hour (and let's be honest who hasn't at the minute) it's a great insight into Cook's views on footy club culture and a bit about the man himself. Good watch.
