Au contraire - our friends at Melrose Drive beg to differ

I never thought I'd say this but I reckon we've taken the title from the Agro

Although they're still the draft day specialists...."we got the best kid in the draft with pick 31"

Like others, I sense there's something different about this off season too. Maybe we need to call it the Aldi off season, because I think it's good different.

I know Bolton used the word "reset" a lot, but it's become a Sayers thing now, and it's true as well: new Pres, CEO and more or less totally new coaching panel.

I think that change has brought with it a collective buy in that has its first tangible example in the way all the players have shaved their heads in support of Doc. Including Cerra. It's such a simple way for all the players to bond at a time when they're away from the club.

None of these things have anything to do with playing ability, game day tactics or anything like that, but it does help with belief and mental preparedness.

It's easy to be great in the off season, I get that, well all get that, but hopefully this time it's good different.

So many Carlton supporters with a sense of optimism makes me optimistic about 2022 and beyond.
I think by about Mothers' Day next year we will have a clearer picture about whether the ducks are lining up.
Go Blues!

We at the annual optimism time of the year with new players, a new coach. Round 2 is generally the reality check. Round 1 we are often pumped and very competitive against the Tigers, giving us hope. Then comes round 2 where the novelty of round 1 is gone and we don't turn up to play. Round 3 we often do well after being 0-2 and embarrassing ourselves in round 2. Then just dribbles away from there. Annual event.

So I shall wait for round 2.

Cripps, Williams, McGovern, Marchbank, Curnow, Silvagni, Cuningham, Martin, Setterfield ... the eternally injured and unfit need to get injury free and fit and stay on the park.

Great summary.

Missed mentioning the impact of injury.

I think we will make it!
We'll beat Collingwood and then make it to the Semi-finals.
Go Blues!

I have gained confidence since that last 8 goal quarter against the Lions, and it continues for me (all, but for 2 minutes of footy before the last siren).

Its game on. This game, along with Swans talk, is the talk in Sydney.
Funny how Blues and Pies fans are surprisingly popping up.

What a contest.
