Round 22
Port Adelaide v Carlton
Adelaide Oval
Saturday 14 August, 4:35PM AEST

Backs: Liam Stocker - Jacob Weitering - Nic Newman
Half-backs: Adam Saad - Lachie Plowman - Tom Williamson
Centreline: Sam Walsh - Patrick Cripps - Lochie O'Brien
Half-forwards: Marc Murphy - Charlie Curnow - Jack Martin
Forwards: Eddie Betts - Mitch McGovern - Josh Honey
Followers: Tom De Koning - Matt Kennedy - Paddy Dow

Interchange: Brodie Kemp - Jack Newnes - Zac Fisher - Ed Curnow

Emergencies: Levi Casboult - Sam Petrevski-Seton- Corey Durdin- Lachie Fogarty

Is this a weak or terrible team. Can't decide.

Considering we have lost 3 talls in an already small team why Levi was not picked, for his height; ability to crash a few packs; and play down back. Yes I know he is virtually finished but why do we have Newnes or Williamson instead of Levi considering the overall opposition in both the ruck and their forward line.

Both Weitering and TDK are not going to enjoy the match.

I'm with you Teddy

If Levi isn't picked for:

a. rotate with TDK
b: Support Weiters to take on gorillas Ladhams and Dixon
c: Provide a realistic decoy for Charlie or target forward
d: security if any big man goes down

Then Levi's papers are stamped.

Thanks for the 10 years service Levi.
You punched above your weight and gave everything you could for the Blues.

Great to see Kemp played, but can see him debuting against Ladhams, coz Plow wont.

He's playing now.

We're still a chance!!!!!! Hahahaha!

Just need the Richmond to win tonight, Suns to beat Essendon*, Dockers to beat the Eagles. Then the week after the Lions beat the Eagles, Collingwood to beat Essendon*, St. Kilda to beat the Dockers over here.

Of course we just need to beat the Power and the Giants. Just hand us the flag now...haha!

Of course I more fancy my chances of winning lotto...lol!!!

It's OK that Richmond lose tonight. Add to your list Geelong beating St. Kilda tomorrow and Hawthorn beating Richmond next week and we are there.

Had to look at the team again this morning incase it was a bad dream.

Yep. The bookends out for season, along with Martin, making it 9 best 22 players out for today and next game too.

Tit McDonald, Philp and Gibbons out too, the team running out is not really AFL standard imo. ie can't play 4 quarters.

I'm thankful Levi is playing, only to give a contest in the air, and if needed to take Ladhams and Dixon with Weitering coz Plowman will get eaten alive against either of those two, and no one else tall enough.

We will need to rob Peter to pay Paul with Levi giving TDK a chop out. Otherwise TDK will wax ruck with 190cm Gov.

Looking for character today.

Will they find something for Murph?

They have to stand up and stand for something.

My interest will be on Kemp, followed by what Murph produces/ inspires in his last dance.

I believe we will put up a good show.

Are we any chance of causing an upset today?

Murphy was our aspiration for a decade, a great footballer an elite midfielder at his best.
Sad day for the Baggers another dismal season and the closing an excellent footy career and most probably a trouncing too . He’s done us all proud, all the best of luck for future pursuits outside of CFC Marc, you’ll always be a Champion Bagger.

The irony if we made the finals with key players off for early surgery.

So just putting it out there, but Marc Murphy may have to play 301 whether he wants to or not.

Is that Curnow ankle rumour true also?
