Come on mods, this nonsense has gone on for long enough

Give the clueless ableist a Period Of Reflection™ to reconsider his choices of language and gain a bit of self-awareness.

A week minimum will suffice; sometime after trade period though would be more ideal.

Btw, our process doesn’t seem to be that far off what Collingwood did only amidst a Board coup that is still unresolved. Yet we are branded as a rabble!
They initially went after Clarkson and Lyon, who both turned them down.
Then the market was pretty much all about B Scott and Don Pyke.
And the next thing we hear, they’re interviewing assistants. And then Pyke pulls out as we find out it’s down to McRae & Kingsley.
But Collingwood is the gold standard and we are a mess. Ok then…

Walsh, I don't think you should be banned. I do think you should consider your words. I know you wish to insult Sayers, try to do so without insulting others who have nothing to do with your hatred.

IMO - It will be an experienced coach.

Agree with you !!

I remember most changes, including the uproar between the owner of the TBV and the mods here. Some here know what I’m referring too. It makes me sad that quality posters over time have moved on but I don’t blame them. People won’t like this but the very reason I haven’t socially interacted with others from these forums, is that IMO, posters become close and posting follows that trend. One thing I have learnt over time, post your thoughts and let it be. Not worth going over and over the same, even though that is bloody hard to do but post what you truly believe, whether that is right or wrong, as long as it’s what you believe or is in fact what you know.

Sometimes I feel it’s time to walk away and do myself and family a favour, but I admit, the only reason I’m probably still posting, is that if I leave these forums, I want to go out with a CFC premiership. I think that might actually be the day that i will be able to close this chapter. I feel it needs closing in such a way, so I’m holding firm as much as I can. Hopefully that day will be sooner rather than later. Needs to be.

How’s that for a personal rant.

It feel like I've stalked you, when you remind me of your journey... TBV, Blue view, CSC...

Point is, we have created collectives to share our angst and desire for the next flag after being handed our first wooden spoon after 140 years. In short, it was an embarrassment, and we are still living the nightmare. Today, its the coaching nightmare, and we are all looking for light at the end of this tunnel, and it will happen.

Nothing sad about the size and quality of posts at TC, you just look at this thread and its littered with strong, well thought viewpoints.

One thing we must remember, TC is content, and therefore entertainment too. We are all going to spend time seeking entertainment and this forum does it for me as it does for many others: its relevant and actually sharp imo. That's the point I was making

This thread, our next coach, is brilliant, diverse and really smart posters for both sides. I admire the posters' passion and respect the time they put in to educate us with food for thought. There's also smart operators, orators, who keep the bastards honest in this joint. I have a lot of time for the posters at TC live or cyber.

The next coach....mmmm...well, the old one new one is gone, and that's a fact. It raises questions about the Board. Is it the old Board or is it a new one with a change of President and half the Board? Will they repeat the same old mistakes? What were those mistakes? Why make them?

With change comes hope... and the debate continues... but its the coach we need to make this list click is what we are essentially after. It wont be Daisy, so I can safely say he'll come.

Go Blues.

Enough, alright.

Nothing wrong with the language towards a manipulative clown.

So where’s the shambles where’s the knee jerk where’s the lip service to process

Once again it’s all hot air

Niall is one of the only credible footy journalists and gets most things right and doesn’t go into print unless he checks his sources
The media hysteria around this is nothing but hot air

Dead right frank... a very refreshing read, without the headlines, emotion and vitriol.

Panel looks sound to me too.

It's a real process because Clarkson and Lyon who we wanted to pick up outside a process rejected us.

I would be happy with Gia BTW. He was highly rated by the Bulldogs while he was still playing. He was always going to be a senior coach one day. I like the idea of a new coach. You always know that they'll have the hunger.

When Gia was virtually coaching on field and from the sidelines whilst playing in his last year, I was impressed with the role and the result. The result, 2 years later was a Bulldogs Flag.

He stayed for another 3 years to help the Bulldogs reset and the incredible thing there is seeing Premiership players moved on (eg Roughead) and I'm sure Gia would have had input there too, and now look, Doggies playing for another Flag, and in his 2nd year at Effendope* he has taken a shambles of a team, and galvanised a defense that made an Elimination Final. Systems and relationships.

Gia looks like he knows what he's doing. I'd be happy with him too.

No option but to find a young coach.

Credibility is shot for Sayers

Read the Niall article and you can see the difference between journos and their delivery.

If you didn't believe the hype from the Herald sun and Fox teams (btw, same mob) and the headline machine at SEN (note, not news reporters, nor journos), you would see your pitch in this post as one of the same.

Re read Niall's piece.

Clarkson wants a year off. Lyon doesn't want to go through a 40 day process, and Buckley has been the headline for 10 years and wants to head to media. if these blokes really wanted to coach, don't you think they could? Nothing to do with money, Carlton or headlines you read.

Also, take note, Gil does interfere with the day to day footy market, when he shouldn't because that is interference. There's laws against that behaviour in the free market outside his Fiefdom: and there should be for him and the manipulating AFL Commissioners too.

Sayers divides the Teague lovers from the others who want change. nothing to do with his credibility. Your comments are purely perception and some pain.

I think Sayers will come out of this looking a million bucks: perhaps a saviour. so, hold your fire and vitriol for a few more weeks, let things settle, because he isn't going away, EGM or not, then fire away.

A good read from both you guys to remind us of our journey, I don’t post much but I’ve also been on the journey from TBV to TC since the dark days of 2002. I actually discovered TBV in my search for information about WTF was going on with the club in 2002 as I was living in Sydney at the time and found it difficult to get quality news about CFC. It feels like a lifetime with you guys and in fact it has been the lifetime of my daughter who was born in 2002.

In similar fashion I missed the TBV meltdown (I logged in one day and it was like a ghost town) and had to track down the majority who seemed to end up on TC, the rest is history….

Walshy, just apologise for the language you used.

I think I get the hatred you have of Sayers.

Show some remorse about the language, some humanity.

If not, I vote you need a week's holiday too.

That's all.

Asking Walsh to reconsider his views and to apologise.
Me? I think he's nothing are than a @#$%&! troll and it's fortunate I'm not running the site because I'd @#$%&! him off.
But I've never been known for my tolerance.

Agree totally with all the above re Walsh and his idiotic comment.

Getting back on track. Looks like we have interviews lined up with Kingsley, Voss and Gia. Any word on whether we'll be interviewing other candidates such as Jaymie Graham or Adem Yze?

Wow Walsh, you make Synbad look good and that's saying something.

You wanna carry on like a f'kstick then go ahead but change your handle and your avatar because even the mere connection of your filth with our Sam Walsh makes me wanna puke.
