I'd rather he played, makes them more predictable and us less complacent.

We’re [REDACTED]. Forever destined to be cellar dwellars or mid table at best.

There goes our chance to name an unchanged team after the brilliant performance last week.

Martin and Fish were 2 of the good ones.

With no VFL praccy game last week how can we look at Marchbank and McGovern regardless of what Russell says about their fitness.

Truly ridiculous situation the Carlton Football Club has put our reserves players in.

How can there be no praccy game? Can't blame Covid. [REDACTED] situation. Amateur hour

I can't believe Russell didn't mention anything about Levi.

We all know Levi is not match fit. Does anyone think he's much fit?

So, tell us something.

Teague told us 6 months after we all knew Gov wasn't match fit. Yet he continued to tell us he was right.

Amateur hour.

Pitto 202

Levi 200

Oscar 196

Looks like we need Levi as our 2nd ruck.

If Levi was fit to play AFL, he should be No 1 ruck.

If he's not match fit, should we ask Oscar to give Pitto the chop out? I dunno

This bullshit about dropping Plowman is just that.

I think I know some of his weaknesses, and some of his strengths, but Cornes demanding he should be dropped, ddoesn't really know what he's talking about.

Which first round draftee takes his place? Marchbank may be super fit, according to Russell, but he's not match fit. He hasn't played a game for 2 years.

The Dome is a fast track. Our 3 talls in the backline are Weitering Jones and Plowman.

Whose the 7th Defender outside SPS? Cottrell? Does he know the system? Can he seamlessly fit in?

Parks for Williamson is a good start for a change in the backline. Williamson is a mess for now, and maybe forever. Lets focus on this week.

We need to win games till we sort out our game plan and our best 22 and get the players back on the park after 6-10 weeks time. Every game we win now, keeps us in the mix in the second half. If we are good enough then, find our mojo, great. Things do turn around pretty quick.

Ask Docherty and Saad to be a bit tighter, and ask for the ball in better places than you have.

Pitto, Cripps, Walsh and Williams as our starting mids, I trust.

Ed to tag Mundy if anyone. We need his experience for now.

i tell you something about Ive felt about Setterfield since he joined Carlton.

He did his knee twisting it in a tackle.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-04-25/gws-giants-will-setterfield-comeback-journey-from-acl-injury/9693726

The way he plays, imo, is with his mind on not hurting that knee again. He plays to preserve himself. Its conditional and he doesn't play with freedom.

Its not how an inside mid should play, and that's what he is. He's a Kouta size (not in weight or body shape exactly); he's tall and big.

He doesn't attack the packs hard, which is a huge issue for supporters, not just Setters, but most of the team are not ferocious on the man and ball as we would like/expect.

This needs to change, not just for Setters but all the players who are selected to perform like adults on the big stage.

Start this week. One week at a time.

Geez I'm still hurting from last week's loss, let alone the first round. Zip 2 also hurts. History repeating.

Have to get past history and create history.

His speed is all we have as far as conditioned reserves players.

Philp hasn't played a game. Dunno about skinny Cottrell other than he fills a different role further up the ground.

I know he wasn't even named as an emergency last 2 games, but the Dome is a fast track.

The fast track doesn't suit Kennedy for example, and he was selected as emergency last 2 games.

Start swinging the axe.

Barassi, Parkin etc...had no difficulty in swinging the axe with big name players. It allowed the players to know the expectations.
If your form drops - they both swung that axe.
This isn't a game for tiddlywinks. This is a game where you have to win the first quarter and have the best forward set up in the 1st quarter to win the game.

Matthew Kennedy - has a combination of tackling pressure and better awareness than Settlefield. And Kennedy can play forward.
If they reward Settlefield for that game then they are basically saying we expect to lose and we want to lose with the same personnel.

Cottrell attacks the ball harder than a lot of his team mates that are bigger than him.

Has to play this week.
