I would have played Cuningham over O'Brien without doubt.

I reckon if Billy Setterfield and Paddy Dow put four quarter's together we win...........Yep , i reckon its up to that next raft of players to step up and we become a side.Spread the load............................and with Cotchin out i would put a hard tag on Dusty.I would put Mickey Gibbons on him in short burst's with the sole purpose of annoying the shit out of him.If there is anyone in the side who could do it it's Mickey.Give him shit from go to whoa.Gonna be a lot easier without his sidekick out.

There is nothing like the opening game. Heading down the pub in about half an hour.

Go Blues !!!!!!

How does that cheating flog umpire Nathan #22 get the opening game of the season.

That is one of the big questions.

I was super excited for this game, but losing Williams and Martin really hurts. They're both top 10 players for us IMO. I feel we're still a bit thin to be able to beat a full strength Richmond with so many key players missing.

Based on previous years form, this team gets nowhere near them. But if we're going to start to progress and climb the ladder, a lot of our youngsters are going to have to take the step up and become top level senior players. If some of them can take that step tonight, who knows, we might be a chance.

Can Harry become one of the dominant key forwards of the league and kick a bag? Can Dow or Setterfield announce themselves as A-grade mids? Can SPS have a game like he did against the Dogs 2 years ago? Fisher, Silvagni, Williamson, O'Brien, all these guys could take the next step and prove the difference.

On potential we're good enough to beat them. But we need a lot of these talented kids to start to deliver on their potential. More than anything, we need to believe we can and will beat them or we're done before the ball is bounced.

Oscar the sub tonight?

Reserves are playing at Punt road against the Tigers. Us 3.6.24 v Them 0.1.1 at quarter time. Eddie has 2 already.

I can answer my own question. Kennedy, Stocker and Cottrell all playing at Punt Rd.

Just don't want to be 4 goals down in the first 10 minutes and THEN get 'competitive'

Also, don't want to see 2 stupid frees paid resulting in Tiger's goals and then the umps don't pay them again for the rest of the night

Go Blues!
