Hoping we opt for 6 qtr games and rotate most of the list through them to get a look at everyone.

I imagine their will be a second scratch match against another Victorian team, hopefully at Princes Park.

How good was the 40 'quarter' game last year against the Pies? It just went on forever. Loved it.

Club announced the other day that we are playing a practice game against the cheats on 25 Feb. Game will be played without fans. Anyone know if it will be televised?
No word on that in the article.

Like that time we beat the Swans by 100pt in pre-season and we went on to finish last and they won the flag?

Oh for the glory days of the 80's where we'd lose every practice game then win flags....

I only recall it because we watched it in the old social club, the day after The First Bounce

And yes, there was a lot of confidence after the win

I remember it well.

Setanta played well, or at least well enough for us to get over excited.

Haha, yes. Stevens & Harford that day had me convinced the premierships were on the way.

Which they were, albeit in the Wizard Cup

Or the glory days of the 00s where we’d win both the Wizard Cup AND the wooden spoon. Trophies galore

Now we get nothing

I’ll never forget that day as well. We were lining up for GF tickets that night.

I watched that game at the Pineapple Hotel in Kangaroo Point. Stevens = finals = cups. A mate came by just as we were wrapping up a famous victory and I was very confident we were "back"! He just smiled and nodded. Smiled and nodded. @#$%&! him.
