Yup we’ve added depth and skill in the crucial are of tpmidfield should reduce pressure on most other position on the park.
Extracting and retaining possession of ball in the middle is we’re we’ve been beaten hands down.
We’ll be more competitive for longer periods of a game.

What’s it mean for McKay? We have to take him, some talent to work with.

The numbers do look stacked against Charlie McKay.

Great work by Austin and the team IMHO. Did their work early, had a plan and we go into next season with the best list we've had for a couple of decades.

Agree.

Agree BV list looks good to me too much better balanced too

Having said that absolutely no excuses for not winning enough games to get into the finals

The balance feels better, which is interesting given it’s effectively Casboult out and Young in for our KPP stocks. We’ve strengthened our KPD depth, which is where we got exposed this year. We’re now light for KPF depth though.
Who’s our third best KPF? McDonald, Young or De Koning are the most likely, although I prefer TDK in the ruck. McDonald and Young do their best work down back. Maybe an undersized KPF, e.g. Silvagni or McGovern is the answer. The balance looks good on a best 22, but any injuries and we start to get thin.

Mirkov on the rookie list gives us more ruck depth than we had last year, which helps our balance too.

List guys have done their job. Couldn't ask for much more out of this trade period. An already B+ mid, cover down back, and a 2 way running hard tackling mid.

No complaints.

Our best recruits next year need to be Williams and Martin.

I'm hoping you can add Charlie Marchbank McGovern Cunningham and 2019 Paddy Cripps to that recruitment list

If we finally get a half decent run with injury for once there is no excuse for that quad to miss finals.

By numbers, do you mean availability (or lack thereof) of list spots? Or simply, McKay not up to it i.e. will go undrafted? I don't know much about him and have only seen the odd mention of him as a possible late pick.

I think you’ve confused us with Essendon*.

Available list spots…. We’re committed to 42 players already. That said, there’s every chance I’m missing something with the current head count.
