Speaking with relative of Oscar, he is super excited to be training with the blues and very keen to give it a red hot go. Has been impressed with the clubs approach.

Was he the 'third' player still there when we started our picks I wonder?
(seems some such reference in the draft chat video)..

Go Blues

We would have rookied him if that was the case surely?

Who knows.. No idea how the system works anymore, but most seemed to go for mature players in the rookie draft??... Then there is the pre season supplementary / mid season whatever??

Go Blues!

I guess Oscar is a done deal.

Do we need another Ruckman? With De Koning having back issues, we really only have Casboult as support if Pittonet has any early season issues.

Yes we do. I along with pretty much everyone else didn't rate Callum Moore's performances in his 2 senior outings next season, but this may give him the inside running for the last spot on our list.

Not sure. Isn't that Zavier Maher in the striped shorts as well?

I hope we sign up Oscar.
He fills a gap.
Has got good size, athleticism, played AFL well and is still young.

He fills a gap.

Don't really know much about Maher other than his bio.

I think Maher has the more upside but Oscar fills a much greater need. Moore I think has been weighed and found wanting, but someone seems to like him. With the injury to TDK might a mature ruck come into calculations to trump all 3?

A DOMINANT four-goal performance from Ben Crocker in last week's intraclub match has shot the small forward into Carlton's sights, with the Blues adding the ex-Pie and Crow to their list of train-on players this week.

So....do we pick Crocker, McDonald or Moore?

Based on list need, you’d reckon it’s a choice between McDonald or Moore...but I really can’t get excited about either of them. Crocker looks OK from the reserves highlights, but he’s not really the type we need.

If the medical prognosis for Levi, McGovern & Weitering is good - and if Marchbank is close to returning - I would be inclined to hold the spot open and see what’s available in the mid-season draft. As the commentators mentioned on Thursday night, it might pay to wait to see who bobs up when the state leagues resume.

Is Ben Silvagni still available? :yikes:

Definitely keep the spot open, and hope a state-level ruckman shows promise.
