He's being rookie drafted, is he not?
So he'll be listed after the ND and PSD take place.

We've got one live pick across the three drafts.

I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying he wont be taking Jones' place on the main list as implied.

I don’t know, I can’t keep up.

Have we already nominated Kennedy and Honey as promotions?

Its pretty obvious we need to be developing the 3rd tall defender, who may be big enough to cover Weiters or Young if they go down.

We have accept the fact we dodged a bullet if Young comes on as a Jones replacement.

If one of the 2 big KPD's go down, Marchbank, McGovern, Plowman, Parks are not the player to cover them.

Kemp may be, but he's developing as a peripheral backman instead of being thrown into the deep end, which is a right way to go developing players.

WE shouldn't be robbing the forwardline of the 2 bonafide KPF's to cover one of the KPD's gaps.

Only player who might be able to go back is Mr fix it, Jack silvagni, and even he's not big enough against the Cameron's and Hawkins types.

I know next year's draft is rich for KP types.

The KPD in the draft this year or next isn't going to be providing cover for the KPD's for many years, but we got start some time.

We were lucky Lewis fell into our lap, and I'm just guessing he will be a success too.

Vossy probably doesn’t know McDonald from a bar of soap, but I’d reckon he’s the clubhouse leader for CHB at this early stage.

Just as well we’ve committed to the likes of Cottrell, O’Brien & Boyd on the development list.

Good point.

No ones spot in defense in a given other than Weitering and Saad, and with Voss in charge, I guess not even Saad, because he's a weapon for the next 4 years.

I just realised that I was over looking Oscar. Hadn't looked at the team for a while.

I think Oscar has flaws in his game, but from what I'm hearing, Oscar is following a similar strength and running regime like his brother did last preseason, which was impressive.

I'm not discounting Oscar.

I can't help but fall in love at the prospect that 22yo Young, at 202cms has some physical attributes made by God's blessing to cover Jones' role, and we selected him for cover....about time recruitment fell our way.

I'm OK with playing Weitering 196, Oscar 196 and Young 202 as the 3 talls IF they show good form and don't hinder our run out from defence.

At this minute, I'm far more keen and confident in Oscar than the unknown McGovern and inconsistent "in betweener" Plowman.

Tell you what, we could really do with another small forward.

Any idea how many rookie / supplementary spots we have? Assume we will leave one supplementary spot for later on to add a key defender just prior to round one. Would like to work out how many rookie picks we might take tomorrow. Would love to see a wingman and a KPP taken.

I wanted a wingman to fix get the balance right and got one.

Motlop Charlie Honey

Jack Harry Fisher

Martin on the wing with Cerra on the other.

Those 2 wingmen mix it up in the middle and cause chaos with Cripps Walsh and Hewitt

FMD...about time....now for Philp and Carrol to put some pressure on spots on the wings and those 2 wingmen get more time in the middle.

Did I mention Dow.....2022....it can all come together

I’m confused too. Missed some rule changes soMewhere, why weren’t Kennedy and Honey selected with our last two picks?

Rookie draft I hope we have a couple of picks. Charlie McKay, Cripps and our NGA boy as a Cat B.

Are we selecting our friends or the best players? Having only one pick in the draft I reckon we should still have a couple names on our board there in the rookie draft. Wouldn't be drafting for sentiment.

We have no vacancies in the rookie draft except a Cat-B spot.

Is Cat-B spot only for players who haven't played footy the previous 12 months - coming from another sport?

Can we Cat-B a Charlie Dean for example as he is coming from VFL and not the under 18?
Can we Cat-B our NGA player who hasn't been drafted?

According to the AFL website a Cat B

• has not registered in an Australian Football competition for three years immediately before inclusion on the Rookie List;
• is an international player, meaning he is not an Australian citizen and has not lived in Australia for a substantial period;
• is a former NSW Scholarship player with that club;
• is a former International Scholarship player with that club;
• is a rookie Zone Selection for clubs based in NSW or Queensland.

Biased against CFC as usual. :razz:

Charlie Dean ... know the family well.

Was a handful as a preschooler and put that energy into his game.
Surprised he hasn't been selected yet. Killed it in the VFL.

195cm and turned 20 this year.
Haven't really followed his last 2 years: how could you!

But with Kennedy and Honey upgraded to senior list ... someone has to fill those spots.

There is only 1 of our 2 Cat B spots taken up by Owies and we have earmarked the high jumping, albeit raw 19yo 192cm Domanic Akuei (I think he's Sudanese) who is known to be capable of jumping onthe heads of ruckmen.

Is Tyreece Leui eligible as Cat B?
A bit of a rugby background. I believe his brother was on Storms list.
