Again I ask what the hell is going on down there , Lead by Andrew Russell. Fisher has been out for 3 weeks and NOW they decide to operate. Cue the Benny Hill music. This is becoming a joke and the club needs to seriously review it and tell the members WTF is Russell doing. |

It's not unusual for decisions on surgery to be delayed several weeks after an injury. Happens all the time in Euro football and US sports, where the money is orders of magnitude higher. I don't think that's something we can hold against Russell. Injuries happen. The reason they seem so catastrophic at Carlton is because we start every seen at least half a dozen men down because of all our petmacrocks, blokes who were broken when we bought them but we thought we could fluke a bargain. Charlie, Marchbank, Kemp... all dead weight. Leaves us little wriggle room to deal with the season's ebbs and flows. |

I'm guessing they're in a small minority, right? I'm not really au fait with other teams' lists, but I have witnessed the same delusion at my English football club and elsewhere. Taking punts on players with multiple knee recos or chronic leg muscle injuries almost never works out. |

Omera missed the majority of his first season with the hawks and Scully retired early due to injury. I’m not sure that they are the best examples. |

The ‘setback’ for Fisher was the discovery of a bone growth that couldn’t have been seen until the inflammation was gone. Shit happens. Silvagni is a bit of a worry. This ‘minor’ procedure is a bandaid - next stop is a more permanent solution that will limit his range of movement. |

Could someone please let me know when Parkes did his hammy? Was is against GCS or a training incident during the week. I didn't hear or read about him being injured in the last game. |

Definitely 4 weeks with a hammy. Can't remember where I saw it. I just wanted to know if the club was playing games again by not telling us after the game (which is yet to be determined) |

In the team selection article the day before the game, it said he suffered a low grade hamstring injury at training. |

A hammy won't be anything less than 3 weeks. If it happened Thursday then 4 weeks is probably on the money. |

Still a train wreck this list does in some way go to why we are 2-3 after 5 rounds but doesn’t of course excuse lack of effort against Collingwood and Port and terrible execution and doesn’t absolve those on the playing list who are healthy continually giving us inept performances. |
