Pros
- No huge defeats
- A few players lifted to the next level (Weitering & Walsh continued on from where they left off last season; Setterfield, Cunningham, Williamson all lifted to show more consistency and at a higher level - although still a way to go; I am probably the only person who also thinks that SPS took another step forward performing more consistently throughout the year - although I look forward to him going up a level which I am confident he can do)
- A few players showed they are likely to make it at this level (TDK, Harry who was dominant in small patches but still a way to go)
- Some good recruiting (Jack Martin was great, Pittonet was better than I expected and was a massive win once Kruezer went down)
- Some exciting attacking football at times
- Settled back 6
- Two big recruits (Williams & Saad) who should have a material effect on our performance from Day 1

Cons
- No huge wins
- A few players yet to come on as we would have expected such as Dow (mostly), O'Brien, Stocker, Charlie (re injury)
- Lost control of games too many times and severely

Next year
- Top 8
- Would want to see us smash a couple of teams during the year (showing a ruthless edge)
- More ruthless, competitive and desperate mentality (think of Joel Selwood who, even after 3 flags would still sell his grandmother just to win the toss!)
- Eliminate the run-ons against us
- Win even more of the close ones

Just finished watching Carton v Sydney on Foxfooty. Easier to watch knowing the ultimate outcome.

Seven goals to zip before the turnaround of eight goals to one. Lots of talk about Carlton's poor start (which was justified), but satisfying to see our comeback and control of the game from the middle of the second quarter. Last year, it might have blown out to a 9-10 goal defeat.

As soon as we get a hold of these six or seven goal slides, we are looking really strong for the future.

Interesting to see the look on Longmire's face after the game...
