Pros:

3 good quarters.
Accuracy.
Harry and Walsh.
Jones and Plowman.
Pittonet good again. Nice to have 2 good young ruckman.
2nd half of Martin, Gibbons and Cuningham.
Liked the move of Williamson to midfield, and McGovern to recapture some confidence in defence (although strange waiting for the final game).

Cons:

Another diabolical quarter. Any chance the coach can learn to shut games down when opposition are in control, like every other coach in the competition?
Got absolutely murdered by the umps. 6 free kick goals to Brisbane. My 3 pet umpiring hates are when they reward duckers and divers, and ignore chuckers. Got the full house tonight.
Terrible selections from the match committee. Way too tall a team for any conditions, let alone the rain and greasiness of Queensland.
Casboult was horrible, following on from a horrible final 8 weeks.
I reckon Polson's shown more at AFL level this year. But kept turning it over, and again leaked multiple goals. I can see the improvement, but I fear for his future.

They got away with sniping too. Umpires were okay until qrtr time but then bought a few bridges after that. I hope Walsh's assailant gets a week but he won't coz Carlton. 20-9 free kick count I think.

Glad you could attend, thanks for being vocal, it's nice to hear.

Brisbane have benefited significantly from the quirks of this season. More than any other team.

I think they'll choke.

I think they will too. Again. They can't duck and dive to a flag, can they?

(They should have beaten Richmond twice now if not for atrocious shooting at goal, this year and last year's final. Will Richmond just stare everyone down again? Someone stand up, please...not you, Collingwood.)

Thanks for the memories, Simmo. I wish you could've had a few more finals victories under your belt.

Krooz, I think not enough oppo supporters realise how good you were before you suffered your first big injury (you were pretty good when you came back) and what a career you might have had with a bit more luck. We asked too much of you too soon and you paid for it.

As for Gibbs, I had no problem with his chairing off under the circumstances. Regardless of who was involved this week and last week, the convention has generally been that you forego a chairing off if you've just lost. There was no harm in Murphy and Simmo seeing Gibbs off, given their history.

Blues, there's still a very real chance of playing finals next year. We're not that bad...most of the time. As others have said, learning how to kick is one fundamental that would improve our fortunes immensely. Onward and upward etc.

Would have been nice to have a win for Simmo but they're not sitting top of the ladder for nothing. They had everything going for them including the maggots.

The second quarter was very disappointing. When a team comes at us we genuinely shit ourselves. Cripps injured didn't help. We simply have to find another A grade midfielder in the off season. We won't improve enough if we don't.

Simmo didnt even want to be interviewed for his 300th.

It'll be very weird without him next year.

Complaining about umpiring is a truly useless exercise - except, it makes me feel better, so ...

we all lament our lack of aggression - too many pussy cats at CFC. Then, when we show a bit of mongrel, e.g. strong tackle by Casboult, we get penalised?!?

Not to mention Robinson headbutts Murphy (around the neck!), Plowman’s (or was it Walsh?) perfect tackle in the goal square (in the back?!).

Ugh, frustrates the hell out of me.

end of a very productive season and lots of things to work on.

alot of youngsters have stood up this season sps last few games have been very good and starting to feel at home in the back half expect him to take it to another level...we have taken our baby steps had a good look at the list.. plenty of things to address and plenty of things to be happy about.. thats my take and looking towards 2021 with optimism.

Harry McKay is going to be a bloody star. Can’t say it enough.
Seriously underrated Plowman does it again.
Walsh .... all I need to say.
SPS & Cuningham need to added in the positives.

TDK drops too many marks but he is getting his hands on it and has time to build and is only a kid.
Gibbons last month has concerned me.
Cripps needed to be rested and Teague should have pulled rank. We have been playing with 1 man down for a fair part of the year.

Agree SB.

Especially on Gibbons and Cripps.

Gibbons defensive work has been poor lately and Cripps should have missed weeks, embarrassing watching the great man struggle.

Also couldn't understand playing both Pittonet and TDK in greasy wet conditions.

hopefully the last game of the season, shows to both teague, cripps and the players that cripps doesnt have to do everything.

Our ladder position is where we are at
I don’t give a toss how many quarters we have won
We will finish 12 th with a % under 100
That’s it
So how do we get better
One thing
Teague must not play blokes that are soft and non contributing
No matter how much they are on

No matter how many games they have played
On that basis
Martin
Murphy
Mc Govern
Cuningham
Betts
Just shouldn’t play next week
I’d play Cottrell over these 5 softies any day of the week
As a team we will be better in the long run

It’s been going on at the club for so long
Let’s hope Teague has had enough

Because that second quarter was the worst I have seen given the occasion

The culture must change

Jack Martin really lifted in the second half. I think he deserves a lot of credit for standing up after half time.

A good response after a terrible first half from him.

Maybe that is the way Simmo wanted it? Wouldn't surprise me. Reflects his humbleness. A true champ to the end. I will miss watching the number 6 in action. The reality that he won't be playing next year has only just hit me.

Simmo deserved a 'grander' exit than that.

So glad he kicked a sausage roll though - 1st for the year.

Makes at least one goal for last 17 years!

Yeah I'm a negative nellie at the moment and happy to own it...and won't change till I see actions

However, was I imagining it or did Willo play more of a wing role? That's his position. train it all summer...will be delivering accurtaly to the forwards and if he has an opportunity I50, has an accurate kicking style

Needs to kick on his right side if he's going to play wing!
