I’ve got a feeling we’ve fired our last bullet for 2020. I’m not expecting us to beat the Crows or the Lions. In fact, I have a bad feeling a big loss is on the cards.

Obviously, I hope to be proven very wrong...

I certainly hope not.
I've invited the uncle of my wife to come over and watch the game.
He has to break curfew.
We have to win

Rumoured on BF that Martin, Cottrell and Owies are being replaced by Gibbons, O'Brien and Betts.

Absolutely have to win this game.

Our current position on the ladder is 11th.

We have beaten 5 of the 7 teams below us.
Beat Crows and we have beaten 6 of the 7 below us.
We know what happened vs Hawks. We learned from that.

We have beaten 1 of the 10 teams above us: Geelong.
We play one above us next week.

Have to win this to support a story of improvement, our rise and our potential ... and Destination Club.

Hey, Bondi, one of the reasons they are below us is that we beat them and other teams beat them. If they had beaten us and other teams, they'd be above us.
And when we beat them, where were they relative to us? At the time we played them, were they above us? We lost to Richmond on day one so theoretically, after that every team was above us. In 16 weeks we've managed to climb to 11th after a brief stint at 9th. This is a vexed issue and needs some serious research and not just a throw away post. I'd better get on it right away. I might use PA as an example. They've only beaten teams below them as well. You might be on to something.

WE have a whole summer to discuss where we were at, why we should have beaten them, why we will again, and why our breakthrough year is 2021: Top 4

Haha this is pretty funny.
If we sat in 11th having beating some above us it would mean we had lost to some below us which would be seen as a negative.
We’ve done well this year. Fingers crossed we close strongly.

Gibbo is in !!!!

Talking Carlton's very own, and our boy, Lachie O'Brien is in !!!!!! :gift: :thanks:

Welcome back Eddie.

Things are going our way.

Thanks to the outs Owies and Cottrell.
I bet they are pinching themselves to be goven games this early in their development.

Martin's calf is being saved for last game and shot at the 8.

Next week could be Simmos and Kreuzers last appearence.
But expect a public event back in Melbourne, when things go back to 'normal', next year?

So we got beaten by a team who were below us at the time but we ended the season above them, was that a good loss?

Simmo to be elevated to 20th in games played surpassing McLeod

Next week he moves to 19th surpassing Chris Grant.

Simmo never seizes to amaze.

I wanted him to retire with plenty in his tane.
Now I'm having 2nd thoughts.
When I think to a game in the early rounds, he did look like he'd lost a yard.
Maybe he was injured, coz last week...someone spiked his drink or something to say, the king is not dead...till they retire him

Deserves to be dropped to set an example but I dont think we got anyone in the reserves who can play that role.. Charlie and Jack are injured.

Hope he gets his hands on the football for once his stats since joining being forced to fat farms and whatnot owes us more than what we owe him. We pay his wages so expect output.

Happy to see LOB getting a run excited to see if he has grown over past 12 months,.

Can’t really argue with those changes but they should have gone further, McGovern very lucky to be keep his place. Kennedy would give us much more value.

A couple of big outs for them, but they are in good form and Martin is a significant loss for us. Our midfield will need to play near its best for us to get up, IMO.

I think Tex Walker out benefits them. He jumps as high as I do these days.

Here's my conspiracy theory...LOB only brought in so that he can give Gibbs the Number 4 jumper at the end of the game...
