Can make it without beating Brisbane.
Need to pump the Crows and go close to BNE.
Melbourne narrow win v GWS, then get pumped by *
Bulldogs (Haw, Freo) and GWS (Mel, Stk) lose both games.

Nice theory, but MelBourne's % too high - they are already 53 points to the good - add in margin over Giants and would prob be 10 goals to make up Plus our own 28 point deficit plus our losing margin to Brisbane.
Somehow I can't see Carlton beating Crows by 16-18 goals.

We'd be lucky to beat them by 16 points. The betting odds are ridiculous. I actually think Crows should be favourites based on current form. They're midfield is back and it's propelling their overall game.

Crows missing Talia, and possibly Walker. 2 key posts.
Tom Lynch after a Hammy in a roaming KP role.
I don't think Milera will get up.

Their drive in the last 2 wins comes from Sloan Laird and Couch.

McAdam has been inspirational.

They have a 5 day break, like us, but have to fly from Adeliade to Gold Coast.

Can't see them standing up for 4 quarters.
If we can close down a couple play makers, gain the ascendency early, play 4 quarters, this is the game we can build percentage, but lets get the win first...and we will.

Convinced me.

Now Ive got to convince myself

Well desrved.

He, alone, has kept our season alive.

Well, just as much as Cottrell has

Gonna hold off placing my Sportsbet Final 8 & Flag bets until after tonight...

I'm thinkin' when they see GWS win they'll think that is BAD for Carlton and might spike our odds!

If only they knew it plays right into our cunning hands!

Sigh, wish I'd whacked on a lazy $50 when I started this thread - we were 500-1 !

$25,000 is nuthin to sneeze at.

No, mate.

I'll just happily accept: "Kept our hopes alive"

But it's at least all been a bit of fun eh?

Which implies there's someone better? Rozee?

Better ask Kane, the uneducated one from Sacred Heart.

Someone should inform Adelaide that they have a Really decent incentive NOT to beat Carlton tomorrow:

they don't want to lose their no.1 Draft Pick to North (considering North's % got a smashing today) by climbing off the bottom.

GWS Draw with Melb would do us fine.
Knock em both out and percentage doesn't matter.

More chance of each way win but and draw ...

Sorry BB, my brother just raised that scenario with me this afternoon and I had to point out that it would put GWS on 34 with a chance to go to 38.
As Carlton can only get to 36 a draw doesn't actually help.

Sorry - close, but no cigar on this one.

A draw is preferable to a Melbourne win.
