I'm no maths genius but I think a 63 point win will get us to 107%
85 might be correct.

I won't be making any appointments with the waxing salon until after the results come in.

You're looking a lot safer after tonight.

Phew. We could have all dodged quite a bullet.

However, Who said you were allowed to wax first anyway?

Think I'm going to reassess my Sunday arvo plans now. Mind you there's not much to do with isolation.

Basically, we need to win both games.
We need Scum to beat Melbourne.
We need Saints to beat GWS
We need Bulldogs to lose one game.
And we need our points differential to be around 30 points better than Dogs.

We don't need to beat Adelaide by 10 goals. A 30 point win should do it with a narrow win over Brisbane and the Dogs breaking even over their games against Hawks and Freo (ie 10 point win over Hawks, 10 point loss to Freo)

Problem is my friend, we can't rely on Scum to beat Melb - that's why it was so important the result was different last night.
I'm still more optimistic of the Collingwood-fadeout option but a truckload of goals won't hurt either.

There's 6 teams chasing 3 spots.
All options are still open.
We can go as high as 6th
Saints can go as low as 11th.
We can make it without beating Brisbane.
No one result knocks us out (yet) and can be overcome by other results being favourable.
Keep the faith!!

I think we will rue the loss to Hawthorn. Bottom 4 side, 5 goal to zip start and we blew it

Well here we are.

As an eternal Optimist and Navy Blue through & through, when I went looking for a silver lining on a dog turd after we lost to GWS I did the math and actually found one!

So hence I started this thread.

Whatever happens, THANK YOU to all the visitors and contributors here.
It's been a fun ride.

There's been things to look forward to...

Trust me, it won't be pretty.

...errrr, maybe ?

And lots of support...

If CC1961 hadn't started this thread for us to appreciate the sums, then we would be relying on The Herald Sun or Mr Cloudy Days to inform us we are destined to hell and there is no hope.

Come on, just for this thread, smell the Blue Roses.

Maybe CC1961 is onto something :smoking:

It can't end tonight.
We're like the Terminator, keeps coming back.
Even if we go down to Crows, we're still in it.
It just gets harder.
