Dow and TDK had less than 70% game time

Both should stay in for this game.

If Gov comes in, then Cas can be the 2nd ruck.
Pitto can have a rest. He really laboured yesterday ... or Grundy is as quick as lightning.

Mumford will want to inflict some punishment on TDK, like he does everyone, but hey, the Flying Dutchman might like it rough.
Maybe a different Nicname than that one...I guess its The King but could be The Royal Dutchman

Changes:
TDK for McGovern (if fit) is a given. Need Pitto this week and forward line not working with resting ruckman.
Cripps (needs a rest) for Kennedy.
Simmo (at 35 might not be able to run the game out) for SpS
Betts (managed) for O'Brien
Gibbons for Cuningham (if fit)

Polson Jones Plowman
Docherty Weitering Williamson
Walsh Setterfield Murphy
Martin Casboult Fisher
Cuningham McKay McGovern
Pittonet ECurnow Dow
Kennedy SpS Newnes O'Brien

I'd also like to bring in Marchbank but he probably isn't ready just yet, I feel Jones is getting smashed by the bigger bodied forwards. Marchbank to play Weitering role, Weits to take bigger bodies and Jones to release Plowman for the smaller forwards.....

To go, or not to go? At $10 a ticket, a thumping wouldn't matter as much.

It's a real tough one to call, given the short break. Selection is almost entirely down to who is feeling up to it. You want to make changes, both because some players won't be 100% in four days, but also because things didn't work yesterday. But, equally, you probably don't want to make too many changes and lose all competitive rhythm.

Another opportunity for the lads to play in a must win match that doesn't involve the wooden spoon...As others have said the response will be interesting.

I figure GWS will be leading by about 3-5 goals at half time but from there who knows.

Great to see some September action this week.

Been a long time coming.

Traditionally we do well in September. Must be improved if we’re playing in September.

I hope we do surprisingly well.

We’re all disappointed with the loss but at least we are now having the conversation about the possibility of finals. In the past 5 years our only hope at this stage of the season was what draft pick we will have...... id rather discuss the possibility of finals.....let’s not forget from how far back we have come...... I hate our inconsistency and shit performance by some players but that’s the game... even very good sides have poor games. I still recall thumping Brisbane at PP in 2001, Voss later commented that was the day they realised how much harder they needed to work to be better. They went on to win 3 in a row. So long as we learn from these games each week and continue to improve, we will get better, the talent is there, the coach will get better.

Time to tank and get the best possible last round 1 draft pick. If we try hard enough we might still be able to get a top 3 to 5 pick.

How was that?

The only thing I’m sure about is Tony Greene licking Plowman in the guts in a marking contest. The commentators will say he needs to careful, he’ll kick 4 and get 3 Brownlow votes.

Does this count as a clean possession?

I might have been banned if I’d said something about KICKING his ass and made a similar typo!
