Critical moments in the 3rd involving Gibbons, Martin.

Making such hard work of the entries.

No composure.

Little system going inside 50.

Fumble city.

Williamson so often trying to be cute with the ball...thinks he has so much time.

Love handballing to a player who is already under pressure.

What is the system apart from bombing it inside 50?

This was a Collingwood team missing Treloar, De Goey, Howe and Sidebottom, while Carlton had extra days to prepare.

The ledger is now even for the first time in many of our lifetimes.

Hope the boys are proud of that.

Casboult is a sook. Awful once he's beaten early.

Midfield depth... until we've got it, we're mid table at best.

Typical. Bust their arses to get into a decent position then fold.

It’s time for a couple of the older blokes to step aside, we’re going nowhere with them

Lesson what type of intensity and composure required for finals like football.

Need to back it up against GWS. Maybe the 9 day break did the boys no good looked flat in some areas.

Game changed when PLOWMAN took a kick in from a point straight to a Collingwood
player which resulted in a goal plowman is a liability as is Williamson

Big reality check. Still a long way off it, looked slow. So many dinky handballs to players under pressure. I'm struggling to think of a Carlton player who has been a worse kick for goal than Cripps.

Whoever distributed the dumb pills at half time needs to be shot

Only we can turn a positive first half into a @#$%&! embarrassment in the the second

Overrated, outplayed, outcoached and lacked the killer instinct required to take the next step

Very disappointing performance in the second half. Not even close. Season is on the line and that’s what we serve up. Sick of losing to these mugs who were just limping into the game. Can’t believe players are laughing with their opponents after the game.

Weiters and Walsh about the only two who can hold their heads high.

Levi and H absolutely smashed today. Not even close.

Plowman has a nightmare.

When are we going to get these horrible quarters and halves out of our game? Richmond. Melbourne. St Kilda. Hawthorn. Collingwood. Need to get that sorted before contemplating finals.

Disappointing second half, we got smashed by a faster taller team.
Unless SPS or Cottrell were injured then I am going to say it, the MC made a mistake bringing in Dow and Polson.
Polson still can't kick and Dow needed a less critical game to return to the seniors.
No injuries is the only positive to take away from that game.
If the team improves, then next year will be a cracker.
We are still short in, hard in and under mids with composure and leg speed.
Other than that, at least we are starting to like we can match it with the top 8 teams.

Once again a bit of expectation against a side that has been average for about 6 weeks and we dish up complete garbage

Haven't got the experience playing for a spot in the finals. Showed in the last qtr. Too much panic under pressure playing for a finals spot. That was my worry all week that such a game would see us shit the bed. Half expected at our stage of development.

We should go 8-9, 9-8, which we have taken at the start of the year, but it shows we have plenty to learn to hit the next step, especially mentally.

A part of learning and developing.

For full accountability; I’ve defended Murphy and Plowman many, many times on this forum when I’ve felt criticism of them has been unfounded. Both let us down in multiple contests today though and today’s performance isn’t one I’ll be trying to defend.

Cons:

Normally try and start with some positives, but that was a very, very disappointing performance. Another wasted opportunity against beatable opposition (like the Hawthorn game).
Despite the 'noise' coming out of the club, it's clear they still don't really believe. Controlled play in the 3rd quarter but continually butchered opportunities and then got outscored. And then played the last quarter like they thought they had no chance of winning.
Looked like we thought Darcy Moore played for us.
Casboult and Pittonet were terrible in those forward marking contests.
Dow got taken to the cleaners by Adams. He needs more games because he plays timid at AFL level. But hard to believe the match committee will retain faith.

Pros:

De Koning.
Jones and Weitering were good.
Docherty's 2nd half.
Eddie was dangerous and creative.
Polson looked good with ball in hand.

absolute garbage 2nd half. Time to put Cripps out for the rest of the year. He's been insipid all year and now with a knee twinge just start getting him ready for 2021. Our tall forwards were pathetic. Levi is as bad in the last month as he was good in the first half of the year. He has dropped off so badly. Midfield was slaughtered in the end. Backline have up so many easy goals. Jones beaten by Cox. Weiters broke even at best. Plowman absolutely annihilated by Stephenson. Massive reality check in the second half. We were lucky to be within 4 goals. Should have been 40+

We are no where near the decent sides yet. The shallowest midfield in the AFL bar none... don't recruit half backs and small forwards. Only interested in midfielders. It's where the games is won and lost.
