Good win, of course, I'll take a 5 goal win any day of the week…

…but given the quality of opponent on the night, there's a lot of improvement left in us.

Eddie is going to look like a real goose when he has to get his jumper back from Rankine.

It’s the only one they’ll want to bid on in the auction.

Yep. Dominated the game but bad kicking. Take it and move on.

I will be honest I thought we were going to lose this game.
Should be happy
Funny how you can go from
I think we will lose >please just win > FFS we should have won by 10 goals

Didn't notice the umpiring much which was a nice change.
Thought it was a pretty even performance across the team. Would have been nice to win by more but I'll take it.

Really happy with the backline - clean hands, good attack lots of intercepts.
Mids did there part also, although Pitto needs to do a lot more: 2 hitouts and 3 touches?
SPS quiet again
Coterall started really poor - killer turnovers but improved in second half - still only 10 touches.
H was great - but has got to kick better!
Betts - some flashes and some horrible bits.
Gibbo and Cas were good.
Martin did well around the ground but we probably needed his kicking class up forward.

I did. No.23 was at his best.

Probably the worst result we could have had given our dominance. Still it's not the worst sentence to type after a game.

Was always going to be a bit scrappy in that heat. 33pts with the crappiest kicking at goal. 25 shots to 7 was more indicative.

One of the few sides to really pump the Gold Coast. Remotely accurate and it was 10 goals. Played 4 qtrs too.

25 shots is our highest all year beating the 16.7 against the Dogs. Pity 18 were behinds this time.

Aside from the goalkicking I thought our ball use was much better. Some really pleasing signs

Some positives
DeKoning's physical presence and tap work in the ruck. On that performance, with putting on some extra bulk in the next few years, could be the presence we need in the ruck.
Martin moves very slick, is tough and runs to smart positions.

Happy with the win.
When the players were in the rooms going to sing the song, I heard Cripps say, "We're back!" If we beat the Pies next week we will be!

Yes, but Cripps was absolutely slaughtered at the stoppages.
His one week of respite is a thing of the past.
