Dow not even an emergency. Unbelievable.
I hope he isn't injured

Watched the tigers game Lynch and Jack stretched them at the back end of the game.
Looks like we will have 2 permanent tall forwards and rotate ruck off the bench.
Martin for Honey a no brainer.

Surprised Dow not included.
However, I’m not worried about the height. I think the preferred setup includes Harry, Casboult and McGovern (not to mention Charlie next year). So without McGovern, TDK can hold his place - provided he puts heaps of pressure on when forward (and Ruck for that matter).

Same, but I'd prefer the last line to be: "and lose a football game". :D

Too tall - not enough groundball players. At face value we have already lost it at selection but will be interesting to see how it pans out. We are woeful on Friday nights and need to break this trend

Samo is out of the backline, let's hope he gets a run up forward and in the midfeild.

Very tall side. The Suns ping it around. Teague seems to favour this set up though. I'd rather another runner. Darwin has a tendency to be humid and dewy. I think it'll nullify the marking advantage of our talls and if the ball is going to be hitting the ground a lot I think I'd rather have Cunners or Dow in place of TDK

I like how after one good scratch match, Dow, in the minds of many, has suddenly transformed into Chris Judd.

Thing is, if you don’t play em how do you know? If you put no value on a scratch match, how is he going to develop without real reserves games? He hasn’t been given a chance in midfield since his first season.

IMO we’re still a considerable way off the pace and need players like Dow, LOB, Stocker to break through and provide some of the improvement we need

Round 13 team

Half-backs: Sam Docherty - Jacob Weitering - Lachie Plowman

Forwards: Eddie Betts - Harry McKay - Jack Martin

Followers: Tom De Koning - Ed Curnow - Marc Murphy

Interchange: Sam Petrevski-Seton - Sam Walsh - Jack Newnes - Marc Pittonet

Emergencies: Lochie O'Brien - Cameron Polson - Josh Honey - Callum Moore

In: Marc Pittonet, Jack Martin

Out: Matthew Kennedy (cork), Josh Honey (omitted)

We have a good spread of smaller quicks.

With our 2 talls bringing the balls they don't mark to the feet of Martin Betts Fisher and Gibbons, we should have the Mosquito Fleet to do a lot of damage.

I expect with Cottrell and Walsh on the wings like last quarter last round, we should have the necessary running power and good defensive support from them.

I didn't expect Dow to be included after the reserves report suggested that whilst Dow's inside work at stoppages was on show in the intial report, the Player by Player report said he needs to work on a few things on the defensive side of his game. That was a hint he wasn't going to be selected.

The one name I find surprising to be missing from the Emergency List let alone the first 22 is Cuningham.

The reports said Pitto, Martin and Cuningham passed their fitness tests on Wednesady, yet Cuningham's name is missing.

Also thought Polson was a sneak chance, but his time will come based on the club reports.

Interesting to see Lachie OBriens name on the Emergency list, ahead of Dows.

MC keeping them all keen.

Lachie Plowman to Rankine - does his best work on small fleet of foot players like Liam Ryan, Charlie Cameron.

Sorry haven't read the thread. Have the GCS been given their umpire allocation yet?

They’ll have more than an umpire allocation.
