Just pointing out your dislike of stats and facts based on them in preference for Murphy's past loyalty being a good enough reason to get picked.

Go bother someone else old timer.

I assume you're talking about Murphy.
His automatic selection every week bothers me as well.
Fisher should be in his spot.
Glad you've seen the light.
Welcome aboard.

Cheap, in every way.

Saints paid pick 56.

Butler just wanted an opportunity to play regularly which he didn’t do last year as Richmond preferred others.

I'd be more than happy for Murphy to be in the forward line. Still gets a game though.

I honestly hadn't realised Butler was this good until this year

Its all about OPPORTUNITY.....
I wonder if we put Fisher on the ball or wing for consecutive games instead of Murphy if we'll see him flourish.
I also wonder if we put Cunningham or Dow into the middle instead of Murphy and see if they'll also flourish.
I wonder if we moved SPS onto the wing or into the middle instead of Murphy and we know he'll flourish....
I wonder if we put O'Brien onto a wing instead of Murphy and see if he'll flourish.

I know if we put Walsh into the middle and not on a wing he will definitely flourish.

We'll definitely flourish if we take only Murph out of the team and replace him with 6 other blokes.
Didn't realise all our issues rested solely on Marc Murphy and the simple solution is get rid of him and bring 6 other blokes in his place.
Well, that's one problem solved. Let's now find a vaccine for coronavirus

What benefit is Murphy to the team in the next 18 months?
To me very little.
One thing is he ain’t going to get better
More likely he will drop away in form
The difference in Simmo 2020 compared to 2019 is there to see.
That what happens 99 times out hundred with players in their mid thirties.

If you want to succeed you need to make hard decisions in regard to List Management

Murphy has been a loyal servant and a good player
Much better than most but now Is the time to cut the relationship
Like what they should have done to Simmo last year
No way he should be playing in 2021

Its the right thread to be airing that.

IMO, you go early keogh and pick the obvious early.
I still think its all about the Plan, and threfore timing.
None of us know the plan.

All the 30 plus yo will be gone before on next flag
.... probably have to wait till around 2021.

Who knows, Murphy might have a Shane Crawford exit; hope so. :gift:

Brownlow and flag on his CV?
I'll take that.

Going for Papley was worth the effort. We'd easily be in the 8 if he was in our side.

Big day for Nick Austin today.

If there's more targets out there than saad and fogarty then split the picks if ge can with Lions.

I hope the Oliver talk is true. If so, Pick 8 would have to be a startto get him on board this Trade.

I hope Nick doesn't cave in and give Effendopes* pick 8. They don't deserve it for an out of contract player.

That's a fail for the Saad deal.

Paid too much for an out of contract 26yo.

i think we are rating pick 8 too highly and its more about it being Essendon* that we dislike.

pick 8 for a guy that will come in and be instantly in our best 22 is good business for 5 + Years

add williams for free it and its a two players who are arguably in our best 10 players ... thats good business.

not sure where fogarty sits with it all. id rather keep out futures for other deals so glad we havent done that.

Not impressing me so far.

Yes, getting Zac Williams was very handy, but that was more Eddie Betts' influence, and the fact that the shit about his salary just won't @#$%&! go away troubles me.

Now caving for an out of contract player just because Dodoro was as usual being a big meanie at the trade table.

Only positive (except for the players we've brought in, always welcome) is that we held on to our 2021 picks.
