Weird, indeed.

Sunday, I believe, though.

correct, deliberate error spotted

Actually, if we start on the Saturday, then maybe, just maybe...

I wanted some changes last week however was told that players need to bust down the door before they get a run. The signs were there against North.

This week our non playing group have no game to knock the door down, hopefully work on the track may be enough.

Hopefully there is more focus on game play especially when the opposition get a run on. We cant rely on Plan A only. There are times you can continue to attack and other times you need to stem the bleeding. Difficult to stop the bleeding when all we know to do is to attack.

I reckon we can go in that hard too.

We played tough footy against Cats and Druggies and won the chocolates.

Anything can happen.

WCE game starts from Nic Nat.
I don't think Pitto has the weapons to counter NicNat.
8 days to work it out

Pittonet will have his hands full. NikNat’s athleticism, tap work and their clearance setups are the best in the league. I’m not sure we can match or null this and hence expect a huge problem, as the game is won and lost in the midfield. Our midfield setup coaches will need to have some plans laid out for our midfield to follow. Is our coaching and playing group good enough?

I feel we can match them in every other position, other than Liam Ryan. He is a dynamic player who will need one of our best lock down jobs. Who do we assign, given they also have three big forwards and hence my man Plowman would be busy with Allan?

Yes they were.

And I can't figure out why Teague said he thought we played better against North than the Bulldogs.

My changes would be:

In
De Koning (exciting prospect wasting time in the reserves)
Fisher (good young player)
O'Brien (has talent and hopefully can step up, need to find out if he can)

Out
Moore
Any two players other than Cripps,Docherty,Weitering,Martin,Walsh

If SPS remains in the side we need to move him from half back.
Over the next couple of weeks I'd like to see Dow, Marchbank and maybe Macreadie come in the side as well. Hopefully Stocker joins the main group again and can force his way into the side. I like the look of Philp however being a first year player he has plenty of time on his side so would prioritise others, ditto Honey. The MC might go with Cottrell as they will probably need to make a decision on him at the end of the year.

Oscar Allen is a good mark.
He's 192cm tall.
Is Oscar too tall for Plowman?

Jones v Kennedy
Weiters v Darling

looks like Plow is the 3rd tall.
I hope Plowman does better than he did against Hawks.
No other option really.

I want Jack silvagni back asap.

Much better footballer than Kennedy, Newnes, Moore, Gov, Gibbons, Cunners, Murphy, Williamson ....

I hope he's fit.

Fisher's also better than the abovementioned...IMO

I want him back too.

Newnes and Kennedy make way for Jack and Fish.

Big dry ground doesn't suit Kennedy...and Newnes has been lucky with goals and terrible with number of disposals

Marchbank and Macreade not ready Bondi, so the other option is Goddard. Do we bring him in for Kennedy and Jones goes to Allan and Plowman then takes a Ryan?

Do we bring in TDK? Is he ready for the ultimate challenge of NikNat?

Interesting selections and planning. Focus directly on Teague and comp.
Our midfield coaches have a lot of homework for this one.

How about Moore into the backline and SPS onto the wing/hff? If Casboult can’t second ruck then also bring in TDK.

I’d play TDK against NicNat. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Would certainly be a great learning experience. He has the leap and athleticism, but obviously lacking in experience as well as mature body.
Be good for him to witness first hand how one of the better ruckman goes about it and how much more work he needs to get there.
Having said, certainly wouldn't throw him to the wolves. I'd still play Pitto with TDK to support

Is he the type to drop the head if he gets absolutely wiped or go hard on improving until the next time they meet? Plenty of unknowns from us but ‘hopefully’ the coaches know.

I haven’t fully decided what changes I’d make but I’d like Moore to go out, hopefully for McGovern but otherwise for TDK. Williamson looks too sore to me but it’s hard to find a replacement with Newman gone too. Maybe Newnes could take his spot and one of Fisher or LOB could play wing.
