If there is one component of the CFC that has been a weak link since for many years, it has been the Match Committee. It does not seem to matter who is on the Committee, they still continue to make really dumb decisions on a regular basis. It would not surprise me at all if Moore was given another week. TDK is screaming out for a game, so is Fisher, so is Honey! If it were up to me, I would be giving Williamson a bit of a break and I would replace him with Honey or Fisher. I am not totally convinced about Cunningham at the moment either. Other than that, I would bring in McKay for McGovern and TDK for Moore.

However, this is probably how the Match Committee will go!

In: McKay
Out McGovern

I live in hope.

Even though we should have destroyed North, the reality is ... it was more good luck that we won in the end. I think we have lost a lot of close matches because other teams are so use to beating us, they go in with confidence even when we are favourite. Its going to take years to overcome this issue. We desperately need to start thrashing other sides. We currently suffer from the Fitzroy Syndrome!

I think Hawthorn will beat us by a few points.

Exactly as I predicted .... Match Committee is an on going joke. They have cost us games this year.

Gong out on a limb here but I predict Moore to be better than last week.

I understand giving blokes a couple of weeks to get their chance. It's a big step up. I guess his scratch match form warranted his selection in the first place but he doesn't give me any confidence whatsoever... Maybe he has been given instructions to belt Sicily.

Some bad signs for those of us who have been trained over many years to worry...
1. big ins for the hawks - including Impey Ceglar and Breust
2. milestone game for O'Meara and Frost
3. Huge baking of Hawthorn footy club over past week by media
4. Carlton feeling confident

I don’t believe we are confident and not worried about in’s.
I am however concerned with the media attention and what that snipe Clarkson might have up his sleeve. Hopefully Crippa and few of our kids like Walsh are better protected by those maggots compared to previous weeks, ie. elbows to the back of the neck behind play seem to ok.

Can only guess that Casboult is carrying an injury and can't ruck so Moore stays to cover this role.

So Moore at 193cm is better equipped than TDK at 203cm who was drafted as a ruckman?

Also if Cas is unfit he shouldn’t play. He was next to useless last week except for that one mark and goal. We have a young, fit ruck forward languishing in Mickey Mouse scratch matches who would be chomping at the bit to get a crack

There are other clubs in his ear and we need to be really careful how we handle this or he will be out the door. Has a bit of a Shaun Grigg feel about it

Grigg was a developing ruckman too!

Go Blues!

We need Moore from Moore

I would have preferred TDK or someone else for Moore, but oh well. There was a time when everyone was saying Liam Jones is the biggest spud in the AFL.

Moore gets his chance at redemption. Good luck to him

Stocker is the one I think we’ll replicate the Grigg scenario.

Don’t think he’ll be a 2nd ruckman elsewhere but these days you never know.

Hawks on a hiding to nothing with some good 'ins'.

This is yet another statement game for us.

I expect Ed to get reamed as a tagger.

Cant help think we need to bring in some fresh legs, I know the team by in large has been performing well however would love to see Fisher, LOB, Philp or Honey get a game with TDK. They would bring some new energy to the team.

4 wins from our past 6 games. 5 of those games against top 8 sides.
It took a kick after the siren for the top side top beat us.
I'm happy for the MC to keep stability in the team at the moment. We have a situation where players have to smash the door down to get into the team. That's a good place to be.
Injuries will unfortunately occur and opportunities will present.

Agreed. Apprehensively.
