Positive vibes about this game.

Let's get over to the west and get Clarko all whiny again.

Some tired bodies. Eddie hasn't gotten near it for a couple of weeks. Levi looks to be struggling too. Do we rest them or with the bye coming up, do we hope to get one more big effort from them?

The rain is bucketing down in Sydney.
Hope it is a hard slog and they have a few sore bodies.

Play 'em.Gotta dig deep.....................if we are going anywhere this a game we can win.............what a cheek Clarkson whining about the umpires and more fool Gil listening.Clarko and his cluster turned the game into a rolling mill and now that it doesn't suit him he wants the umpires to umpire his way.Tell him to faaark off and coach and let the umpires umpire. The umpiring has been disgusting ( in games, not just ours ) since Clarkson opened his gob.Good on Beveridge for putting him back in his place.

had the impression from Teagues presser that Harry should be ok - in the sense that he was touch and go for today.

If so out Moore, McG
In Harry and Jsos (or fish)
Eddie Betts and Cas look out of sorts

Play them next week then rest them for the Eagles if you were to go down that path. Make sure we win the games we should win.

Bye is only an 8 day break anyway.

As much as I would like to get more games into him, I don't think Willo is in form.
He needs to bring more than a left peg to his game.

He's not a huge liability, but I prefer to select on form: JSOS, Philp, Honey, Fisher, Dow are good options.

Surely Harry McKay come straight in next game.

I want Williamson to play. We don’t necessarily have a defender to replace him, and I think it wil pay us back in spades in the future, especially with Simpson very near the end. Still only played a handful of games.

Possibly no McGovern & Harry + Levi labouring. Hard to see us kicking a winning score. Bad time for SOJ to be injured.

JSOS is injured isn’t he? Won’t be coming in without some game time I’d say.

Honey or Philip?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we seek to inject some energy into the side by bringing in a kid like Philp or Honey.

What about No2 and No4
Surely they would bring energy

Hard to pick on form atm.
Willo has been going OK but he made the same mistake Walsh made last week. Those blaming whoever called for the handball last week can blame Walsh for calling for it last night.
Jack for McGovrn s a no brainer and TDK must have a chance. Moore was so bad he doesn't deserve a second go and should be sent back to Melbourne to save money.
Our forward setup is what worries me. Even with no Harry, McGovern on the bench and Levi not getting his hands near the footy, we just kept bombing it long, at times ignoring leading players. Teague's stated forward plan it to go long and have the talls at least bring the ball to ground, hold the ball inside 50 and score from forward pressure. We thrashed the Dogs by running the ball through the middle and allowing the forwards some one on one opportunities in an open forward lin.
Last night we went hard fr one quarter and then went long to the F50 where the ball was almost inevitably marked by the opposition sweeper or had to break free from the maddening crowd that had set up behind the ball.
I will be surprised if Eddie isn't rested this week or next. He is off the pace atm. The problem is he plays well on the hard grounds where he can paddle the footy around and do his magic. Murphy should go as well. He gets his possessions every week but he isn't what he was. Fisher for him.

With games on Friday arvo, Sunday & Saturday night, we’ve got the most normal draw out of any club in the comp.

We’ve just fallen in against the 17th side & have the 15th, 10th & 16th in the next three weeks.

I don’t understand the ‘tired’ bodies rhetoric, unless the gurus have seen that our last nine games include six bottom eight opponents and snuck in a training block... like a side that dares to dream of September (or October, as it were).

Getting a bit carried away if that’s the case.

If SOJ is injured then maybe move Kennedy to the 3rd tall position and bring in Fish or Dow (if deemed to be ready).
TDK for Moore should be a no brainer.

At 33 he isn't what he was so we should drop him.
Yes, he does get his possessions. In fact, he was our leading possession winner. 3 clearances playing off a wing/half forward.
5 inside 50's (Equal second highest). 7 intercept possessions (Second highest). 4th most contested possessions. And we won the game.
As for Eddie being off the pace. Yes he had a down night but he received coaches votes 2 weeks ago and is averaging the most goals per game for us. He's a also top 10 in the AFL for goal assists and top 15 in the AFL for tackles inside 50.
Put the tequila away.

Quite a few people here have an obsession in dropping players.
